Has anyone tried to make this? I saw the recipe on Facebook. It looks easy to eat but I don't know for sure. You buy egg roll wraps, fill them with pizza goodies and bake them. We can have this right? The wraps are really thin.

Recipe with pictures here: http://sleevers.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=487&action=edit&message=6&postpost=v2 I wanted something fresh-tasting but high protein. This fit the bill! The beauty of this is you can make it all from scratch, or if you’re in a hurry, buy some pico de gallo and get boiled shrimp and make this in a jiffy. Makes 4 half-cup servings. Ingredients For the Pico De Gallo: 1/2 small red onion 2 ripe tomatoes 1/2 large cucumber 1 small jalapeno pepper 3-4 tbsp cilantro 1 ripe avocado For the Sauce: 1/8 c ketchup 1 tsp cholula sauce or other mexican hot sauce Juice of 1 big fresh lime 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1/4 tsp ground…

I just wanted to share my tasty and easy to make Breakfast wrap. 1 Eggland's Best Cage Free brown egg 1oz Oscar Meyer's Carving Board ham 1 slice Kraft 2% American cheese 1 Buena Vista low carb tortilla 8 inch I use Smart Balance nonstick butter spray to toast the tortilla in the pan and keep the egg, which I make over hard, from sticking. I use the nonstick spray when browning the ham. I toast the tortilla. Set it on the plate. Place the cheese on the tortilla Cook the egg over hard, then place it on the cheese. Brown the ham and place it on the egg. I've also made it with crumbled turkey sausage. It takes me about an hour to eat it and its very filling. …

Spent a little time cooking this weekend. Recipe with pics here: http://sleevers.wordpress.com/2013/09/15/crockpot-chicken-tikka-masala-recipe/ This is a little more fidgety than my typical recipes but still doable. One short cut is to make twice the recipe of the chicken kebabs I posted. Split the chicken in half and use half to cook on stove-top and the rest, add to your crockpot. Don't be intimidated by the list of ingredients, they all get processed together and thrown into the crockpot. Here is the chicken tikka recipe. Make about 1 lb of chicken tenders/thighs this way. Ingredients for the masala Grind together the following in your food processor: 1 onion r…

My nutrition counselor said I'm not eating enough protein, so she suggested incorporating imitation crab meat, but I have no idea how to prepare it. Do I eat it right out of the bag? cook it? cold? hot? warm? I've always had fresh crab, this is my first time with imitation crab meat.

Sooo delicious and juicy.. Each serving has approximately 77 calories, 4 grams of fat, 5 carbs and 6 grams of protein. 1/2 pound ground beef (i used 80% lean) 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup tomato sauce (homemade or low/no sugar) onion powder and garlic powder to taste. place in mini muffin pans bake 350 about 15 minutes.....while cooking,, I used box of idaho mashed potato flakes (omit if avoiding carbs all together) and only mixed it with chicken buillion powder and water. I am beginning solid foods and I am trying to figure out which foods are okay to begin with and how people progressed to other foods. So far I have tried deli sliced turkey and ham (lean) and string cheese. I've had baked tilapia, and 2 oz canned chicken. I wanted to make a deli wrap and cut it into 4 different servings, but I'm unsure if a tortilla is okay to eat this early. Any suggestions I would appreciate.

Tried a new recipe tonight and wasn't sure how it would turn out. When I did the calculations I figured there were some elements that were too high (sodium, for sure). But because the rest of the day was a relatively low content one, this finish didn't even come close to taking me over my other daily limits. So, I gave it a shot. Bite 1...hmm, this is definitely not pizza and I'm not sure I like it. Bite 3...wow, these flavors are really good together. Last bite...really? I'm already done? Yes, I liked it! 1 Mission multigrain tortilla 1 T Pace Picante Sauce 1/8 cup mixed peppers (frozen) 17 slices Hormel Turkey Pepperoni 1/4 cup Kraft low-moisture part-skim mozz…

Just posted a new recipe with pictures on my blog: http://sleevers.wordpress.com/2013/09/15/ground-beef-with-coconut-milk-and-spinach/ Yet another lazy ground beef curry. It’s my typical “dump everything into one pot and cook” type of recipe. I made it in a pressure cooker but will provide directions for stove-top as well. Ingredients Tempering Ingredients: 1-2 tsp ghee, coconut oil or fat of choice 1 tsp cumin seeds 2-in piece of cinnamon 4 whole black peppercorns 2-3 whole cloves 2-3 green cardomom pods Main dish 3 cloves garlic crushed 2-in piece of ginger chopped fine 1 large onion diced 1 lb ground meat of your choice ( I used ground beef) 1 can cocon…

A friend of mine who also had VSG posted a picture of the riceless sushi she was brilliant enough to order, and in turn, I made it (kind of) at home myself. My mouth and my sleeve are SINGING. I love love love spicy crab rolls and haven't had one since March. I googled the recipe and every one was similar. Copied from a website: Here’s what you need, for 2/3 cup or so of salad (since it’s mayo-based you don’t need to eat a ton of it): 1 scallion 2 tablespoons mayo sriracha chili sauce, to taste 6 – 8 oz imitation crab sticks or flakes That’s it! These are cheap and widely available ingredients. I use Japanese mayo, which has slightly more vinegar than …

I don't particularly care for canned chicken. Smells too much like tuna to me. I found these Tyson Grilled and Ready strips. 19 grams of Protein per 3oz and they taste pretty darn good too! They're soft so they are easy to mush up or chop, and they come in several different flavors (I think there are beef strips as well). Today, I tried the fajita chicken breast strips. Tossed them in some olive oil, peppers and onions. VERY TASTY. http://www.tyson.com/Promotions/Grilled-and-Ready.aspx

I love reuben sandwiches and have been craving them lately, so I decided to come up with a healthy version. So I start with 1/4 cup sour kraut (rinsed) put it in a skillet on medium heat, next I take 2 slices of Aldi's 98% Fat Free Turkey Breast (slice it down to small strips) and throw that in the skillet, stirring for a little bit. Next I Take 2 tbsp., Aldi's Fit and Active Fat Free Thousand Islands dressing and stir that in. Next I take a slice of Aldi's Fit and Active Reduced Fat Swiss cheese and melt it on top. Next I take a clean griddle and I take a Aldi's Fit and Active Whole wheat Flatbread and cut it in half, using just 1 half(save the other half for later).…

Watching the chew and got the idea from something they were making. chicken cordon bleu. Buy leg quarters and have the butcher remove the bones. Pound it down like you would a cutlet (skin side down). Salt and pepper to taste. Add one piece low fat ham, and one slice low-fat or fat free Swiss cheese. Roll the chicken and tie both ends with kitchen string. Place in 500 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Remove and let sit 5-10 minutes to let juices redistribute and finish cooking. Enjoy. I was curious about leg quarter nutrition so here is the chicken nutrition not including ham and cheese. Generic - Chicken Leg Quarter, Roasted W/ Skin Servings: 100 g 1 g …
