Let's TALK HUNGER! The HUNGER DEMON HAS ARRIVED!
so how is everyone doing? @AmberFL @NeonRaven8919 how are you coming along. So an update on my GLP1 usage since my hunger and food noise returned in April 2026. I am down about 12 pounds, since onboarding treatment. GLP1 and other weight management drugs should be an included in everyone's insurance plans it's such a great tool and everyone should have access. When you onboard treatment it really brings this disease full circle and shows how our brains are just wired differently than those with no metabolic disorders. It is truly a disease. The drug truly targets the pleasure centers of the brain turning off that need!

Wow Raven you have definitely had a lot of curve balls thrown at you so sorry to hear that but sometimes you have to hear the hard things being a UK size 14 is great but definitely definitely try to get a hold of your cravings and get back on track. We all know to well how a size 14 can be a size 26 in no time! That's how the disease of obesity works it's always waiting for you to let your guard down but you can't let the disease win! 🏅 I'm rooting for you

I hate to hear that Neonraven! The first thing to getting back on track is realizing what's going on!! Do you have access to GLP1's in your country! If so look into it or if you can pay out of pocket for a compound definitely give it a try! Hunger sucks @ the 2 year mark it came back for me now it has settled down from getting back on my GLP1 I will be checking in you soon

We most definitely deserve it! I don't know about you all but obesity took the majority of my life, I lived most of my years in a larger body! So I be damned if ANYTHING brings me back to that lol! So I have to be my own biggest advocate hence the GLP1! Well girlie it seems you know what your triggers are, and awareness is key! I knew I needed assistance when I rose like a mummy from the dead at 2am from the bed scavenging through the cabinets for food it was then I KNEW I WASENT SAFE. 😂 Dr. Now from 600 pounds stays in my camera roll to keep me on the right path!

TMI BM Stuff
I have chronic constipation and lately I have been going every day. Feels super strange to go as I've suffered since small child. I have added daily magnesium supplements and MCT oil to my protein shakes, I also switches my multivitamin to a probiotic multi that helps with my gut health overall by pro care. I also do the 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk

OK, I understand. Definitely keep me posted chic on what happens! We know our body the best and I personally before getting back on my GLP1 that danger zone was like right there like I couldn't get close to it. It was just too dangerous. Obesity is a beast to fight I have to always be two steps ahead!

Let's TALK HUNGER! The HUNGER DEMON HAS ARRIVED!
Hey girlie, I thought I had came back to this thread and updated everybody so it's been almost a month and a half now and it has been like a miracle to be back on my GLP1 I have already lost about 10 pounds! As soon as I gave myself the first dose the food noise went away and I want to talk about GLP1 on a psychological level because it's greater than having it for just weight loss! Studies and-research shows that GLP1's fire in the pleasure and reward center of the brain. I have food noise and an addictive binge disordered eating behavior as soon as the GLP 1 releases it goes to that part of my brain and it quiets the noise so for me it's bigger than just weight loss. I understand what your Dr is saying but it's bigger than what he is seeing with a human eye. It calms the pleasure pathways. So if the food noise gets too loud, you might have to Dr shop because this drug is heaven sent and we can't afford to go backward. It's bigger than just weight loss obesity fights you every chance that it gets, you can do the same exercise, you could eat the same meals, and the weight will still creep on. We have to have all of our tools and I would be pissed if a doctor didn't really understand what I needed. Are you currently experiencing weight regain or reoccurrence? Is the food noise back with a vengeance?

Report Your WINS ..What is your today's win???
Win: keeping up the momentum. I don't know if any of you got to see the Kentucky Derby but it's such great symbolism for this journey. Golden tiempo was way in the back and on the final stretch, he passed all the horses up and won. On this journey, we might feel behind that we are not as far ahead as we should be, or we may have setbacks, but just keep pushing forward because the underdog always wins in the end.

Food rebounding
Definitely reach out to your surgical team only because there can be quiet complications that you couldn't even think of that could be going on which I hope is not happening to you, but I've heard people in other bariatrics groups having to have exploratory surgeries and second surgeries from something not going right, but like someone else said yes you may have to be on liquids longer. it's a process. This journey is a long hard one, but you got this. Keep us updated!

Let's TALK HUNGER! The HUNGER DEMON HAS ARRIVED!
OK, so an update you guys I started my GLP1 last Tuesday and I want to talk about something that I thought about in regards to my hunger. My smaller gastric sleeve pouch was NO MATCH for the obesity hunger I experienced! The hunger that I had even the smaller stomach couldn't even stop that type of hunger! That my lovely people is the OBESITY DISEASE.... everyone should have access to different tools and to me GLP1s shouldn't even be an issue for insurance companies to approve. I'm trying to think how I would manage this disease without it because that is not a type of hunger that can be satiated.

Amber, I feel you 100% if you are able to get on a GLP1 definitely give it a try. It was life-changing for me when I first got on it before my gastric sleeve surgery 2 years ago. It reduced all the fooD noise. After my surgery, I stopped it because the food noise was gone and my stomach is much smaller but here recently about a month or two ago all of the food noise came back (the disease of obesity😡) and similar to you i was rummaging around for food at night.... also similar to you my measurements are the same, but I'm heavier on the scale which I really don't like. I understand that muscles weighs more than fat but to me this weight that I'm at is really not a healthy weight for me. Don't get me wrong, I look f**king hot. I should post some before and after photos, but I personally don't want to be at this weight, It's too close to a danger weight for me! I want to lean out! I'm very very muscular. I'm going to start ramping back up my running, running has always made me leaner. I have been slacking on running. Yes the struggle is real. I will give you all the update on how my GLP1 does I will start it today.
