Revision/Hiatal Hernia Repair

Hello, everyone! Had my revision and hiatal hernia repair on 07/08. I'm down 28 pounds. My first roux en y was in May of 2009 I was 642 pounds then, and at the time of my revision , I was 230. Maybe it's because this is my second time around, but I feel it's so much easier, and there is so much more information about it online. Any one else feel the same, or am I delusional? Lol

I hope you're feeling good. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. I am getting my hiatal hernia repaired when I have my duodenal switch bariatric surgery on August 6, 2026.

Hello,

I had lapband in 2008 (230), then sleeve in 2015 (170). In 2018 had GERD diagnosed along with hiatel hernia and have suffered since. My doctor recommended hernia repair and RYGB surgeries. I was 136 at my surgery date (August 25), and 17 days out at 125.

It's been difficult for me, drinking the fluids and getting protein drinks down. I know it will get better, but wondering if anyone else started with a lower weight and struggled? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.
