I never thought I'd say this but these frozen dinners are great! I have been having the hardest time eating any meat except for hamburger, I am not quite 3 mos out and most real food eating experiences have been disappointing and have left me wishing I hadn't tried to eat. Soft things are great but beef, chicken, etc difficult. I tried tender cuts, moist cuts... Anyway tonight I had the Atkins Turkey Dinner and it was wonderful . Low carbs, low fat and low calories. Just the right amount of protein. Just thought I'd share for anyone else struggling.

How do you know if you're dehydrated? And if so, how did you fix it or did you need to get iv fluids? I've had a bad headache all day, have been very thirsty, feel week and am very shaky. Guessing I'm dehydrated but I'm not sure what to do about it.

My wife are about to watch the gravity movie, in 3d imax, and we were talking about good movie munchies we could eat that would be vsg friendly, maybe. We talked about taking a cookie dough Quest bar, breaking it up in small pieces, rolling those balls into melted SF 80% cacao. It would be a very thin layer of really dark SF chocolate. Yeah, SF Protein chocolate chip cookie dough theatre munchies!! A winner? Side disclosure: I used to buy the boxed cookie dough munches (and butter finger bites) at the concession stand in past life.

Has anyone ever followed an anti-inflammatory diet, for other medical reasons that are seperate from being a sleever? We're not just talking buying stuff that says "gluten free" on it, It takes total 100% faithful adherence and involved eating amounts and ingredients that may seem really wierd, but many horrible diseases have been reversed or halted or dramatically slowed down when a specific sort of diet is adhered to. I wondered if anyone here has any experience with that?

I am 12 weeks out and have lost 46 lbs. 25 more to go. I have been eating right, so don't take this wrong. I am starting to want (not need) a sweet here or there. I am a salt addict...not a sweet addict. I am not talking about candy bars and ice cream. I'm just wondering if anyone has any vsg friendly baked desserts?

  12. I'm in serious learning mode here. I've been struggling a bit and want to learn everything I can about exactly how the metabolism works and how different actions, macronutrients, hormones, etc. affect it. For the layman, I have pretty much only found diet books, which is not at all what I'm looking for. I thought about purchasing a textbook, but am not real excited about spending several hundred dollars on a (current, up-to-date) book that may or may not be what I'm really looking for. Then, of course, there's the option to read some random crap on the internet (because they wouldn't let them put it on the internet if it wasn't true!!!). I just came out of several weeks…

I just had a yummy beet chicken salad that my wide taught me how to make a couple weeks ago. And....I made it myself!! Joy joy. 3 oz chicken (I use canned chicken for convenience). 1 small beet sliced into cubes. 3 slices of cucumber cubes. .5 ounce blue cheese crumbles 1 tbsp Tsatziki sauce (we made a vsg friendly version) Throw in a bowl, mix and enjoy. The only thing that is missing is some farrow or quinoa to round out the nutrients. I failed to locate some to add.

Hey, guys, I'm 3 mos out and I was wondering if I could have a little bit of honey. I wanted to make honey lemon tea for my sore throat. If not is there anything else I can have that's comparable? I like honey for it's medicinal properties as well. My stomach doesn't seem to be as sensitive as most, even if I do eat sugary foods, and I've never gotten dumping syndrome.

Yet wondering...if I am consuming some alcohol but staying within my calorie requirements and exercising...will that slow my weight loss? I love spinning and core exercises, tabata, etcetera but I also like a couple glasses of wine a couple times a week. I'm keeping my food carbs low, too. Just wondering about others experiences. FYI--I am almost 5 months out. Down 63 lbs--275 to 212. Eating about 1000/ day and exercising 4-5 times week with good workouts IMO.
