Carbs per day?

I'm 5'7" 257# and 1 month post op today. What's a fair number of carbs I should be eating per day?

It all depends on your surgeon's plan . . . mine calls for eating between 30 & 60 grams of carbs per day, but I know some plans want fewer carbs and some allow more.

What did your NUT recommend for you?

It also depends on how active you are or want to be. You need carbs for energy and folks who do low carb often complain about not having energy. As Sonya suggests, talk to your NUT. They are going to know you best.

Yeah all dr's and Nuts are different. My nut never told me how many grams of carbs to have, just to have one carb at Breakfast and one at lunch. Now that I am in maintenance I can have a carb at dinner as well.

So all that to say, ask your nutritionist or dr, they will tell you what you should be doing and what they expect.
