Just bought some isopure and I like it actually it doesn't taste any worst than crystal lite or watered down apple juice to me. So for 40 grams of protein I think it's worth it

Has anyone had the liquid beef protein shots? They smell bad & taste bad, however they have 50 grams of protein. I thought they would be better for you than the new whey brand. I mix the beef protein shot with my tea or flavored water. Does anyone know anything about the beef protein shots?

Have finally found a protein shake (30 grams) that taste great! Very exited! If you are having a hard time finding a shake you like, try these. I found them at SAMs. They are pre-made and their protein bars are great too!

Hi, I wasn't sure where to place this but, GNC is having a sale right now buy one get 50% off of everything on their site and then I found a 20% off coupon "LiveWell12" so I am going to purchase the Zero Carb Isopure for post op. I have seen a few people talk about this so I figured why not to switch up from shakes but also just wanted to share the GNC sale as well.

I'm wondering how many chia users there are here & what you are paying for the seeds. I just got my first bag (1lb) and they were kinda expensive. I found a place in AZ that will wholesale them to me but I'd have to buy forty four 1.5lb bags.

I was sleeved 11/21/11 and have had virtually no complications at all except my surgeon's vague participation in my follow-up care. I had my first blood work done 2/27 and just got the results TODAY! I called and all but begged for them but only the lab tech was able to do that and she was never available. Now that I have the results I still don't get everything the report says. It's clear that my HDL is too low and I need to get up and exercise. There were some other items on the test that were listed as LOW but nothing indicating if I needed to do something different. According the the report my iron serum and iron saturation are low. Does that mean I need to up …

Just wondering if anyone has used these? I am concerned about the taste of the protein drinks and getting enough protein. Is it possible to just use a scoop of this mixed with your broth or put in your juice? I know I can put it in my jello when I make it so I'm assuming I can do the same with other things. Any thoughts or has anyone tried this?

I am almost 2 years post op (I don't need chewables or liquids), and I was doing searches online and found a few different sites comparing Vitamins, and how good they are and how absorbable they are, and so on. According to these sites, not all vitamins are created equal. What I am wondering is if these comparing sites are legit?? This is one of the sites I was looking at: http://www.multivitaminguide.org/ What's everyone's experiences?? Had anyone heard of some of these vitamins before? Xtendlife?

I am slacking seriously on my Protein supplements because, after being on a liquid diet for so long, I have run into "taste burnout." All the ones I have tried leave me with a horrible after taste or bad breath. Here are the ones I have tried so far with no success: unjury Protimax Atkins GNC's whey Protein powder (THE MOST HORRIBLE STUFF EVER!!!) Any suggestions?

Hi All, I am 2.5 months post op and I finally found a Protein mix I can tolerate, I used the very vanilla flavor and mix with fruit, almond milk, and ice to make a great tasting smoothie. My concern is I am at a weight loss plateau and cannot seem to move. My weight is fluctuating between 320-321 and cannot seem to break the teens. I have a shake in the morning and one in the evening. My diet is a mix of tuna, eggs, Beans, fruit. My workout routine consist of cardio 30 mins, resistance training 3days and lap swimming 2 days. Any one have suggestions how to move past this plateau? Please drop me an email at kvbinns@gmail.com

Prior to surgery I was able to drink protein shakes no problem. I was also lactose sensitive prior to surgery. Since surgery, I can't stand almost any milk products. Most of the pre-mixed protein drinks have milk in them and I can't handle them. Also, just the smell of powder (even unflavored) makes me sick to my stomach. I'm almost 4 weeks out and just started eating a few spoonfulls of peanut butter each day just to get some protein in. Anyone out there lactose intollerant and found a protein drink that they can handle? Oh and most powders I've tried with water are absolutely disgusting...

Hello everyone, Last night I was online searching for protein powders and ran across a few I wanted to share. Firstly for those of you who don't like sweet stuff I ordered Isopure unflavored protein $43 for a 3lb tub from vitamin shoppe online. Also while I was searching I ran across the syntrax website and they are having a nectar 2 go sample blowout for this month. You can receive all 14 samples for 15.99! That's 14 for samples and 1.99 for shipping! I purchased these as well because I figured for the price what the heck? Lol. To receive this offer all you have to do is call (866)333-7403 ext 803. Just let them know you want the Nectar 2 go samples for $14! I hope this…

Hello everybody, I asked my NUT if I could do 30g of Protein in the morning with a shake (Premier Protein) and the other 30g in the evening (Kroger CarbMaster yogurt 8g) mixed with 1/2 packet of Syntrax nectar 14g) for 22g and I would fit in a glass of skim milk somewhere for the last 8g. She said it was best to space it out over the course of the day, because all of the protein would not be utilized if I ate so much at one time. Did any other NUTs say this? I think she just wants me to do it her way, and with my schedule, it's not possible. By doing it this way, I'm getting more than 60g because I'm eating foods with protein throughout the day also. Should I cut out th…

I am sure there are a ton of post and maybe a sticky or two about this. But I am getting so twisted and turned around that I might just be driving myself to the looney bin!!!! I would like to know what is the best CHEWABLE (preferably gummy vitamins) that are out there??? Can you tell me the brand name, flavors that are the best, and where you purchased? I know that everyones taste buds are different, but I just want to be able to see what is out there before I buy. I don't want to be stuck with the ugh face like my mother while she is chewing her Bariatic Advantage Vitamins (which she truly hates and I hate watching her take them). Also, what other vitamins and/o…

Like most everyone else, I've struggled with finding a Protein shake that I can tolerate. Well, I finally found one that I really like. And the plus is that it is really simple so I can easily make it right before leaving for work and drink it on my drive in. Its the Designer whey chocolate Protein powder. I use one full scoop of powder, 1 cup of Skim Plus milk (has more protein than regular milk), and half a banana. I mix it all together with my Magic Bullet blender then serve it over ice. IMO, the Protein shakes are always better the colder they are. Nutritional info: 30g protein 263 calories 33g carbs 2g fat Just thought I would share for anyone else is…

I'm in a pickle. :-). I am allergic to large amounts of Vitamin A. Even as a kid if I ate too many carrots I'd break out in a rash. It's a bit better now that I'm in my 50's, but I still can't take large amounts of A. So....does anyone have any suggestions for a multi-vit that isn't crazy high in A? Thanks!

OMG it was YUMMY!!!! I got sample packets in mocha and vanilla latte. It was only 15g of protein but it beats the 8g I was getting from drinking plain coffee with milk & splenda (i just cant do the protein powder in my coffee right now yuk!). A tad pricey at $26.00 for a 1lb container but i think its worth it.

Of course, I know that this is a question to ask my NUT but it's 1am here..curiosity struck. I've been reading on here that people cut their Isopure with Water to dull the taste. I think It's a great idea! Mixing 20 0z of isopure with 20 oz of water and u get most of ur water and Protein in that. But if we add water to it, does it water down the protein? Anyone know the answer?

Hi Everyone!!! I've been trying to lose weight and I've started my liquid diet. I wanted to let you all know of what I think is a great Protein powder. It's called CytoSport 100% whey and I found it at costco. It is kind of expensive but it's a huge bag, so I know it will last me a while. I tried the vanilla and it's so yummy, it tastes like cake batter. For one serving there is 140 Calories, 2.5 grams of Fat and 27 grams of Protein which is awesome! I was using the pre-made Protein shake from Costco called Premier Protein but I needed a change. That one is good too if you want to try the pre-made shakes. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that little piece of info…

I decided to go with Bariatric fusion ~ I'm just wondering what input you guys might have? Love it? Hate it? Anyone have major issues with it? Folks who do use it with good results~ do you find you have to supplement with anything else? Just looking for some input I'm only a week post-op and just starting Vitamins today, so I haven't had a chance to get too far behind on anything yet! Tried to do my research, these looked great, and were also recommended by a friend who is very successfully 3.5 years post-op

I am pre-op. Surgery will be in October, but I'm a planner, so I'm trying protein concentrated things now. Here's the "scoop." I can't stand thinking about drinking a Milkshake. Even high sugar, high fat, mainstream Dairy Queen makes me grimace. I tried Isopure Fruit Punch because it looked the most like juice and had a lot of protein bang for my buck...it was close to awful. Very Bitter aftertaste. My favorite thing in the world is a glass of unsweet tea...against everything in me that is southern...I add splenda and that's my happiness in a glass (Unless there's a pitcher of Margaritas close by!)...could I just add unflavored protein into my tea? Will it change the cons…

Hello, Everyone: I have found that the GNC Total Lean shakes in vanilla and strawberry only are pretty good. The powders and chocolate shake are not. The powders are sickly sweet, and chemical tasting...bananna tastes like dentist cleaning toothpaste. The raspberry powder was better, but all the powder flavors were sort of metamucil like...which I don't like. The Chocolate premade--which is like the vanilla and strawberry--tasted just like Slimfast shakes or one of those kinds that are very soy-tasting...which I do not like. The Vanilla Vitamin Powder is disgusting...absolutely not vanilla-y at all! Don't buy it. The workers said the powders were all tasty...but …

I love the Oh Yeah protein drinks and they are high in protein but the last case I ordered was really thick and icky looking, and just plunked into my glass. I called and they told me to throw them out and they will send another case for free. I should get them tomorrow. Has anyone else had this prolem with the Oh Yeah drinks? This is the first case I ordered I had been buying single bottles at Vitamin Shoppe and they were fine.

Yes, I try to get my protein in everyday and I'm still struggling to get through an entire day without pain. I drank 15cc of Nectar Fuzzy Navel, and it went down fine. I followed it up with another 15cc about 10min later, and I've been in abdominal pain since. This was about 2hours ago. I'm afraid to drink anything now. I haven't gotten any more than maybe 20oz of protein on any given day before pain or stomach upset starts. I'm 7 days out today, I should be able to get this stuff down by now, well according to my NUT, I should. Anybody else having problems? What am I doing wrong?

As I've read from a lot of people, I had been having the hardest time with my Protein drinks. I dread them and plug my nose to drink them. Normally I would just chug it down but we all know that's not possible! I had tried whey protein in chocolate and Peanut Butter and strawberry along with nectar roadside lemonade. I liked these before surgery but only mixing them with four ounces f Fluid is so gross. Luckily I'm up to six ounces I finally made one I liked. 1/2 cup vanilla carbmaster yogurt 1/4 cup skim milk 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein All together it's 33 grams of protein, 7 grams of sugar, 12.5 carbs, 3 grams of fat, and 200 calories The numbers seem…

Hi guys! I'm still pre op, I'm currently testing out protein powders and I've read lots of good things about the taste of Mint Cookie and Cookies and cream protein powder from Sytrax Matrix line. I've also heard mixed things about whether Matrix is good for bariatric patients because I believe it's not straight whey isolate, but a blend of isolate and regular whey- though I have seen bariatric patients drinking it. Thoughts on this? I want to know if its going to be a good thing to purchase before I go through with it. Thanks all!

Has anyone tried the Unjury chicken broth flavor? No offense to the company (because I plan to buy the unflavored protein powder) but that had to be the most God awful stench ever. I smelled it and gagged. So I thought "well I'm always such a picky eater" so I had my coworker smell it. She gagged. Wondering what other's opinions are and other suggestions? I don't want to get sick of the protein shakes (so far is all I like). I do plan to use the unflavored to add to sf jello etc though...

As anyone used a protein drink called New Whey? It has 42g of protein, no fat and no sugar. It also has 2g carbs, sodium 100mg and 50mg potassium. I found it in Wal Mart, asst fruit favors. I'm desperately looking for protein drink I can tolerate! Any help would be much appreciated.
