Food...finally!
I miss sushi! Went out with the husband to our favorite sushi place and they have a bunch of new stuff I'm dying to try. He tried one i picked and said it was great. I sipped my soup...

Sick Of It!
I get sorta the same feeling. I see people on here going and doing... and I'm like HOW? I thought that i was pretty tough. Went to a movie with my husband two days ago and then to watch him eat sushi (i had some soup). Then i passed out tired in the truck on the way home. I cooked supper last night and was give out. I made sure to get all of my protein yesterday.. hopefully that will help. Still struggling with liquids. I get about 40 oz. The only thing my sleeve doesn't like is cold stuff so i have to drink everything at room temperature... yuck. I am so ready to feel normal!

I have some gummies that are great! There like little treats. I don't really like my caltrate vanilla chewable but it's because they are too sweet.

Macho Cheese Doritos
I've found that giving in to my cravings to lick certain food items is really helpful. =) last night I cooked one of those Velvetta box meals for the family cause it was easy. It smelled sooo good. I gave in and had a lick of the sauce. Ya know what... yuck. My tastes have changed so much already. Instead of craving it the whole time, i found out i didnt want it anyway and enjoyed my little cup of soup juice. No one made it to this forum for having the will some act that you should. I hope if i ever do make it to the point of licking a dorito.. that it no longer takes good. Wouldn't it be great if all my food weaknesses did that. I bet they won't but I'll deal with that from day to day. On my birthday i might even have a small piece of cake (gasps). But i think I'll be just fine... And i won't need counseling for it.

When Does The Gas Get Better?
Gas X did nothing for me. I chewed it all day yesterday. Today seems to be a little better. Still have lotsa gas but it doesn't hurt my sleeve. I hope it stays that way!

Lazy Folks
Here it talks about fatness vs fitness http://todayiwill.com/2010/01/fitness-vs-fatness-diet-vs-exercise-for-weight-loss-2/#.UEGTK5R5t3o But i also must mention that i would not consider myself lazy even without your typical workout routine. I work horses daily and have a job that keeps me on my feet 8-10 hrs a day. Before surgery i could easy run up several flights of stairs without being winded. My NUT actually told me I could cut back to the lower Protein requirements if I wanted to lose some of my muscle to not be so "bulky." (Her body mass thingy put me in the OVER category for muscle mass) I laughed and told her no thank you I will keep all the muscle i can. So it truly comes down to how "Lazy" you are talking. I have low pulse and blood pressure and absolutely no comorbidities. But I am active in my everyday life. I will choose to add some exercise plans as i go. But to answer the original question... yes you probably can lose the weight you want with diet alone. But don't expect to feel your best or look your best. And there are things to do besides the typical gym exercise routines...

Lazy Folks
My NUT told me exercise is for toning and diet is for losing. She actually recommends just walking. At some point i will go back to the boot camp i was part of but i am going to see how it goes before i decide. Its pretty strenuous so i might wait until around christmas and slowly work up to it in the meantime. I felt really good when i was going.

When Does The Gas Get Better?
I was sleeved monday the 27th. So far i haven't had bad gas... until today. Now everytime i move and especially when i drink i can't stop belching. It's really uncomfortable because i can feel it making it's way up my sleeve. When I'm drinking i can feel it fighting to get around. I take tiny sips and make sure I'm not gulping air at the same time. I'm only drinking broth, water, and G2. Other than the gas the only pain is from my drain and i don't have any nausea.

Macho Cheese Doritos
So excited to see that some of y'all can tolerate Louisiana hot sauce. We have it on just about everything. It was even one thing i craved while pregnant. And i cook alot of my veggies (cabbage, black eyed peas) with a tbsp of candied jalapenos. Ugh.. now my head hunger is back. I'm ready for food!

Macho Cheese Doritos
I don't plan on eating chips anytime soon BUT if i find a Dorito in front of me i might not be strong enough to not lick it... just sayin =)

Day 3 Post Op
I'm home now and feeling a bunch better. I can only tolerate 2 sips at a time of my protein water before i feel very full. I was walking every two hours at hospital because i had to pee that often. Now at home I'm glad to rest more in between. I can't stand to even think of food/ or broth yet. My husband tried telling me what he ate for lunch and i begged him to stop... made me nauseated. And i didn't realize how often tv advertised food.... =/

Day 3 Post Op
I had surgery yesterday. I am absolutely miserable! My stomach spasms evertime i drink and I'm so nauseated. And I'm already sick of this drain. It helps seeing y'all feeling better. I've never felt so bad.

It's Time:)
OMG.... I can hardly keep my eyes open. Haven't had any meds in about 6 hours. Not as bad as I expected. I woke up! That was my biggest fear... dying. The worst part is the dry mouth! I've never experienced it this bad. Makes me sip good though. I need to go potty but I'm scared to move that much. My nurses have been great! So glad it's over. Guess I'm gonna attempt to go pee... ugh
