  6. I am from Vermont...it is so beautiful there for winter activities. Flipping cold...but beautiful. I have 2 on my goal list. 100 lbs down...going horseback riding. That one is accomplished!! 200 lbs down I want to go to Universal and ride all the rides I couldn't with being over 400 lbs.
  7. Thank you. I bought CVS Midol and it only has Acetamenophin. I had to cut the pills in half but it was worth it. The caffeine made me a little jittery but besides that I was much happier.
  8. In the begining my boyfriend wasn't very suppotyive of me getting what he called "elective surgery" But when he found out how informed I was he realized I didn't make this decision lightly. He was at the hospitalthe whole day of surgery and visited me every day I was in there. I am now down 114 lbs since May. 79lbs since surgery in August. It will be worth it and I hope she comes around.
  9. What can I take for my cramps? Since surgery my period more and more regular. Which is great. But my cramps are threating to kill me. And it hurts so bad. Help!

  13. I have never said to anyone that they needed WLS. I tell everyone that I have had it now, but prior to doing this I was told by a woman in a shoe store that she had done it and it changed her life. It made me feel a little bad about myself, but it make me think about having surgery. I find myself getting concerned with my heavy friends/family who severely over eat. I have a friend who is heavy and I see how much he eats and it scares me. But I don't know if I would tell him to go get surgery.
  14. I was out of work for 3 weeks but I probably could have gone back after 2. I do miss food...I really do. But I know all the crap I used to eat will make me sick. And I don't know if it really will. But I think I am more afraid of finding out it won't make me sick. I don't eat anything with more than 10 grams of sugar and 10 grams of fat. But I am really paranoid. My surgeon actually provided me with a card that says "Please allow this person Rebekka Bruno to order smaller portions as she has had weight loss surgery and the size of her stomach is severely reduced. Your restaurant will be placed on our bariatric friendly list Thank You." I order off of the childrens menu most times. Went out for my boyfriends birthday to a local steakhouse. I had childrens steaktips with fruit on the side. I was only able to eat a couple pieces of the steak tips but it was so good and I don't feel as bad not being able to finish my food since the food on the childrens menu is MUCH cheaper. I usually don't use the card. I usually ask if I can order off the childrens menu or the senior menu b/c I had wls. Most places have been wonderful about it. I have been drinking unsweetened tea and Water at most places. I am happy with the surgery as of right now. I am in the midst of a stall. But it works.

  17. I am having a hard time getting food in. Which is making me have zero energy. Which is making me have no gumption to go to the gym. I haven't had a week w/o weight loss (surgery was 08/15) and am having a difficult time getting protein shakes in. I dunno. Just really frustrated. Between working my full time job and being so tired I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks. I have been walking a bit but not everyday. I am so upset with myself.

  19. I am weird for a girl...b/c I am always in the mood, lol I was ready and willing within 2 weeks...but the bf was worried and we waited 5. But I get into some weird bendy positions. It may be easier for you since you are a guy
  20. same thing happened to me, and I wasn't very regular prior to surgery. Its all good hon. annoying, but good
  21. after surgery I hated my protein shakes. I would freeze half a banana and use that like ice cubes. But in all honesty I am sick of that now too.
  22. It will. But I am sorry you are feeling so exhausted
  23. I am almost 6 weeks out and I honestly think on a regular basis..."What the hell did I do to myself?" I have been trying to find ways to make healthy versions of "junk food" when you are able to eat "real food" go on skinnytaste.com. I have found some great recipes and it is making it a little bit easier.
  24. Get the batteries. Only get on the scale ONCE a week. (its hard, believe me) but it motivates me to see the weight come off. I was always one of those people if I didn't see results I would quit what I was doing to try and make myself healthy. Then I would gain MORE weight. I cheated and got on the scale today (my weigh in day is Wednesday) and I am still steadily losing. 5 1/2 weeks post op. You can do this! Oh! Your starting weight should be what the Doctor had you weighing at day of surgery or your pre-op.

YES!!! I forget I need to eat sometimes. I do get hungry randomly but that's if I have forgotten eat for a long period of time. I do need to fight head hunger. When pouch says...I am satisfied. My head says WTF! You only ate 1/4 cup of tuna salad. Feed me Seymore! (Sorry for the little shop of horrors reference) Anyway....I has 3 pieces of sashimi for lunch today and was full...it would have take 15 to 20 before for that to happen. You can do this!
