  8. Gettin to cross my legs like a lady, comfortably!
  9. Congrats! Also I'm so jealous about your trip and meeting NPH!
  10. Wait your dr wants you to just jump to meds? Depression meds? That's a pretty huge step there, not sure if it's the hormones that he's focusing on or just the rate of people coming out of this surgery that he sees go that way. But that's a bit of a bold comment to make to someone. Also I stepped on the scale today and I'm officially in onederland! 199.2! I'm 54lbs away from my personal goal of 145, and my dr wants me at 177 at my one year, so I'm not so far off. I have 4 months to lose 22lbs, and if I start working out it shouldn't be that hard I really am with you on the false advertisement ordeal. I get into clothes and I'm like wow I love my curves and take my clothes off and I'm like no no no no that is not how a body is supposed to look. But I have to tell myself my body is doing hella good because I lost over a HUNDRED POUNDS and it's not a complete saggy mess, just not as toned as I'd like it. So I think we should be thankful that the weight is coming off and focus on toning and trying to get out lives and bodies back one day at a time. This process isn't perfect but we are lucky to have wonderful guys in our lives to make it so we feel beautiful even if we don't see it

  13. Congrats on your pregnancy! Hopefully you don't have to worry about anything and there won't be any complications
  14. Hey! I can't believe it's been 8 months already. Doesn't seem possible. I've lost 127 since my highest weight, 104 since surgery, and right now I'm hanging out at 200.2 lbs and am waiting patiently to hit onederland When I look in the mirror it constantly changes. My eyes can't adjust to the loss so some days I see my new self and I'm so confident and happy. Other days I don't see the change and I stop looking in the mirror for a few days lol. I feel like I'm failing because I'm not eating as strict as I should be and I really need to start working out but I work and go to school and have a family so I hardly have time to myself to start with let alone even think about working out. But I need to just jump into it and make the time. Hope everyone else is doing good!
  15. I think this is why the doctors encourage us to see a therapist post op. We won't see the direct changes right away and feel no different than before. I think I look great with clothes on. Off? Not so much. But my fiancé says I look great in and out of them. I guess we're just very self conscious and super critical of our bodies and what they "should" look like versus what they actually look like. I take it one day at a time. Some days I see the change and I'm thrilled, others I look in the mirror and say I don't see any change. But I know the 127lbs is what changed and have to push myself to be happy with my body. I am .2 lbs away from onederland and it has been taunting me for a couple weeks now lol

  30. I had to have my surgery pushed back to August but just wanted to share with someone and do a happy dance for getting down to 215 from 327
  31. Hit 215 today. Almost to onederland!
  32. I do the same thing! I manage to get them up and I'm like what?! No way lol And dance like a raccoon on crack for about 5 minutes and then look around to see if anyone is looking at me like I'm crazy lol I'm down to a 18 from a 28 and fit in a 16 but not comfortably yet to go in public with them yet lol It is up there with best feelings in the world. Love that I went through with the surgery!
  33. So I've been on the scale lately and just documenting my weight and going on about my day. I hit 218 yesterday and losing weight has finally clicked in. I'm so close to onederland and I haven't been this weight since entering high school. It is so surreal! I have 73 pounds to my personal goal of 145 but I just thought it would be a fantasy because I didn't think I'd see the 100s ever again! Feeling so blessed and happy today!
  34. I got into a size 16 today! I haven't been here in 8 years! Crazy feeling!
