I drink tony ferguson shakes but I get really bad stomach pains and become very flatulent, and I was wondering if there is an ingredient that I should be aware of when purchasing Protein shakes? And if anyone has any suggestions for Protein Shakes that do not cause any unwanted side effects such as the ones mentioned above. Thanks ✌

So I stopped taking my calcium citrate recently because it gives me such horrible constipation (sorry for the TMI). My doctor was not please so I am now taking it again daily, but the constipation has returned. I've looked into taking a daily stool softener, but the only ones I can find are gelcaps which we can't take after the sleeve. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want to take my vitamins, but cannot handle this bowel issue. Any recommendations would be appreciated!!

I was highly disappointed when I met with the nutritionist and she told me I couldn't take iron and calcium together. I thought I would just wake up and take a bunch of vitamins everyday nit that I would have to take them 3-4 times a day to get enough calcium and iron and for them not to be taken together plus a multivitamin plus biotin plus something else. Could people please reply with exactly what you take and when in the day.

I have not had my surgery yet it is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 19th, waiting on Ins approval. I have been trying to experiment on making Protein drinks at home. I have my list of vitamins and supplements I need to take but need help with the timing or when to not to take one with the other. My thyroid has been removed so take Synthroid. It cannot be taken with citrus or with calcium and must be taken on an empty stomach and not eat for 2 hours. I actually take it at about 2 AM when I get up to use the bathroom during the night so it is not really an issue. I "think" I read on here somewhere, but can't find it now, that calcium and iron should not be taken together. Do I have that correct?? Are there others that need to be taken separately?? I'm taking all the usual o…

I found this in the baby section of big chain super store (Walmart). It holds 3 servings of my Syntrax nectar and they screw into each other and have a spot to pour from at the top . Throw and go.

What I want to know though, is this a good option for getting protien into my diet even though I am not working out or lifting weighs at the present time, or are there better options for getting the Protein in? Some brands and such would really be helpful. Things i have tried: Isopure drink = weird fur taste - horrible whey protien 2.5oz shot = OMG the agony!!!!! almost threw up

I am curious which flavoring people like the best or which is pretty accurate on taste. I'm also assuming that it's safe to use these anytime we want. Davinci sf syrup, Torini syrup or the Capella drops. I have also read where people put sf pudding in their shakes. ( do you just sprinkle a little bit of the powder mix into your shake).

I'm 8 days post op and wondering if the Protein shakes I've tried are contributing to my diahhrea? The 2 I've tried both contain milk. Today I had .5 ounce of one and within 5mins I was in the bathroom. I talked to the nurse and she said everyone experiences lactose intolarents differently. Which I can understand, but I don't want to keep on testing to see if I'm lactose intolarent! With that, does anyone have suggestions for a good tasting lactose free protein shake/powder? Thanks for your help! So...just realized the shakes I had were lactose free, but contained milk. So, now I'm rephrasing my question. Anyone have good suggestions for a dairy free protein sha…

In an effort to lose weight using Chris Powell endorsed Bod-e products by Vemma, I discovered the protein drink called Bod-e Burn. Has lots of good vitamin stuff in it and boasts 20 g of protein for 6 oz... comes premixed in a can. Really pricey, but I loved the taste (sort of mango/orange/little bitter). However, I am not sure it would be considered a "clear" liquid... tastes like a juice but can't see through it... anyone know what is a "clear" liquid? Also, it is slightly carbonated... would that be a no no?

I am six weeks post op... I have tried: Bariatric Advantage Premier Protein GNC powder and ready to drink unjury Oh Yeah Chike Syntrax Muscle Milk Max Protein Rockin' Refuel BSN Syntha Syntrax Matrix Protizyme Nashua Nutrition Click BSN Lean ... and probably a few I cannot remember. And? I hate them ALL. They are all too sweet! I am almost LIKING Isopure zero carb alpine punch... It kind of tastes like (to me) cranberry juice mixed with a dry white wine... Served ice cold, it had a gag-free refreshing tartness. If you are also having a hard time stomaching uber sweet shakes, you might like this. BTW, it's kinda pricey in my opinion...

I was sleeved one month ago today and have finally found a protein shake I can tolerate Pure Protein from Sam's). My question is, do I treat it like a meal and not drink anything else 30 minutes before and after? I'm asking because my stomach has been so sensitive to everything I've eaten.

Does anyone know anything about these? Would they be good post surgery? They taste really good. I have read not to take Iron with caffeine or dairy because it won't absorb as well. They get great reviews both on amazon and vitacost. I did a search on this site for them, but I didn't find any results. http://www.vitacost.com/natures-plus-chewable-iron-with-vitamin-c-and-herbs

I have found that adding a scoop of chocolate protein mix into a cup of hot decaf coffee with a tsp of sf raspberry syrup is delicious!! And helps me to get in my protein.....But a trainer at the gym says I shouldn't do this. He said it breaks down the protein (cooks it) and makes it ineffective...I say he is wrong, does anyone else have an opinion on this?
