Help Me Find A Protein Supplement That I Like!

I am slacking seriously on my Protein supplements because, after being on a liquid diet for so long, I have run into "taste burnout." All the ones I have tried leave me with a horrible after taste or bad breath. Here are the ones I have tried so far with no success:

Protimax

Atkins

GNC's whey Protein powder (THE MOST HORRIBLE STUFF EVER!!!)

Any suggestions?

Try adding a tiny bit of sugar free pudding mix(any flavor you like) to your protein shake. Make sure you put it in a blender (not a shaker) with ice. Makes a huge difference. I can use water or fat free milk for mine. I use Body Fortress protein powder. I have chocolate, vanilla & strawberry flavors.. Good luck...

Like the premier too just very cold

I just tried something new - it's called Orgain high protein drink -- it's kind of expensive - $3.95 per 11 fl oz but it's a iced cafe mocha organic ready to drink nutritional shake - has 16 g protein per serving and $255 calls, 60 fat calories per serving. I got it at Wholefoods .. it's pretty good! I'm not a big fan of protein drinks, so this helps me get some added protein into my day while drinking ... it tastes like an iced latte kind of drink (I put it in a glass of ice). This drink apparently has the equivalent of 10 servings of fruit and vegetables in it too - full of vitamins and minerals, free of caffeine and artificial sweeteners & preservatives and gluten. Supposedly made by a doctor? Anyway, just wanted to share. And I also got a new protein bar at Wholefoods the other day - called NuGoSlim -- it's pretty good too ... dipped in real dark chocolate and has 15 gr. of protein per bar, 190 calories, and 60 are from fat. So, between one of those and the drink, I'm almost 1/2 to where I need to be re: protein daily, and then if I have some greek yogurt & some cheese, and maybe a few bites of chicken or tuna, I'm where I need to be requirement-wise. Yeah!!! Am going to try Jay Robb Chocolate Protein powder drink later too .. I've tried Jay Robb's unflavored Whey protein powered, which isn't bad, but never tried the chocolate one, so I'll let you know how that tastes too -- am hoping mixed w/some skim milk and ice cubes and maybe 1/2 banana it will taste good ... Jay Robb's protein powder has plenty of protein in it (like 26 g), so if I can handle that w/some skim milk, that will totally boost my protein intake ... we'll see. have a great day everyone!

Also remember you can add unflavored protein powder to liquids without enough protein like soups, sf pudding, tea, coffee, cream of wheat, etc

I bought and tried a few brands prior to surgery and my favorite is Chike (www.chikenutrition.com).

The best one I have found is Matrix chocolate mint cookies and cream- hard to find tgough, so I special order on Amazon. The mint disguises the protein badness and it freezes into yummy fudge icles.

Visalus is awesome! Over 100 different recipes like butterfinger' date=' Peanut Butter cup, simply mix in different flavors of sugar free Jello pudding. go to my website at http://vrivers.bodybyvi.com you can order and have it delivered to you. the supplements are aweome too, Check it out![/quote']

I do NOT like Visalus at all! It doesn't mix that well, even in cool Water it was kinda clumpy and weird. Just not a fan, and it's so expensive, more than any of the others I've seen. Jut my honest opinion.

Yes me to I on full liquid for the next month I get a bad after tast from all off it ... How long do u have to be on the drinks ? When I go to the puréed foods can I get most of my protein from my food or do most people still do the drinks to ?

I just orders birthday cake and cinnamon swirl from tryabouttime.com' date=' hope they r good[/quote']

How was it? Birthday cake sounds yummy!!

Nature's Bounty Vitamin Protein Shake is great. I use my blender to mix it.....good with water or skim milk. I never tried a shaker so I don't know if that makes a difference (someone mentioned earlier their supplement should be used with a blender). I got at Costco, but you can get at Walgreens, Drugstore.com, CVS and Amazon. Good luck all.

They have chocolate and vanilla....I.bought chocolate....going to get vanilla too.
