Nectar Yes Or No?!

Hello loves :]

So this past week i've been really randomly sick :c , and i feel perhaps I am not getting enough protein in and my mom suggested going back on shakes. for the two weeks post op and pre op I was useing the GNC brand powders and now even the smell of them as i try to drink that make me sick. So while doing some googleing i came upon "Nectar" band powders and have read some good things about them i was just checking with my VST family to see what you guys like best. have you tried them? recipies? fav flavor? just insite is all!

I did not like it much. I know it is supposed to be fruity, but it still had the powdered taste to me. I really like the UNJURY protein drinks. Sometimes I put a no- or low- fat yogurt in it (like strawberry yogurt in the strawberry) and it makes it even better. Also it adds some more protein.

The premier pre-made shakes from Costco are pretty good. They have 30Gms of PRO/shake.

Nectar is okay. I have the Fuzzy Navel and the Truffle. The thing is that whey protein has a very distinctive taste and no matter how "fruity" you'll still taste the twinge of whey. I mix my Fuzzy Navel with Blue Raspberry Amino Fuel and I can still taste it but it's better. But, I'd never tell anyone that the Nectars taste like juice because...they don't.

I switched to the Nectar drinks when just couldn't handle creamy shakes anymore. I have the Nectar Grab N' Go packets of Roadside Lemonade and the Lemon Tea. I add some lemon juice to both that helps mask the whey flavor/smell that all of these drinks have. They are offering a sample pack of all 14 flavors for only $14.00 w/ free shipping if you order using the toll free phone number from the Syntrax website. www.si03.com (that's s-i-zero-three - not the letter "o". ) Usually it's at least $2.00 per packet when ordering the single flavor boxes on Amazon.com.

I used the Nectars early on when I was drinking a lot of shakes and needed a break from the vanilla-chocolate-strawberry routine. I liked Fuzzy Navel, Twisted Cherry, and Lemon Tea. Now I still love a bit of the cherry mixed in to some plain greek yogurt - YUM!

There are a couple of places that will sell you single-pack samples of the Nectars so you can try them out without committing to a large jug - Vitalady.com sells single- servings, and BJs Bariatrics does an 11-pack sampler that lets you pick which flavors you want to include and how many of each.

My biggest complaint about nectar is how much it foams. I have the roadside lemonade and it foams so much when I mix it. Plus it does not taste like lemonade lol

I was intrigued by it but was disappointed

I didn't like the Nectar brand - but I only tried a few flavors. They were wayyy too strong and a couple were sour to me.

I like the Caribbean cooler. My complaint is that they are thin. I like to blend it up with some frozen fruit/berries and make it thick almost like ice cream.

Hate them! Bought one of each flavor and thought they were terrible. Tasted like milk and fruit.

I hate Nectar!!! It has an after taste...ughhh!!! Unjury is way better.

No to the nectar! Get premiere rtd from SAMs!
