My daughter is going to be 12. She is tall for her age 5'5 and is just about 150lbs. She is beautiful w legs for days. But she is eating like a grown man. Shoves food in her face, sneaks food She is becoming covered in stretch marks. I don't know how to handle this. I really don't keep a lot of junk in the house. She buys stuff at school or goes to a friends and devours stuff. She talks her grandparents into getting her stuff too But I'm the bad one. I try to sit w her and explain to her that she is repeating exactly what I did. That she is creating horrible habits and I don't want to see her go down the same road I did. But now she cries and says I h…

So Happy that my surgery is only 2-1/2 weeks away!!! I have been working on getting my house clean this week and today and man till today I didn't realize how much my weight holds me back. I did most of the cleaning this week and today I just swept the rug up in my hallway upstairs cause it's a low pile rug and I wanted to get all the fuzzy's up and my vacuum is a POS, so I did that and it's only about 15 feet long then swept it down the stairs which there is only 10 stairs with a little landing in the middle and I am sweating like no other and now I just want to take a shower cause I feel like crap? So I don't think I am getting much more done today. I can't believe …

Ok ladies I have a question about weight gain during your period. I have heard of some women noticing weight gain during your period. I guess before losing weight, I never noticed, or paid attention to my weight. That and I had stopped having my period all together. However, now it's back. I noticed this week during my weigh in that I had gained 5 lbs! Which of course freaked me out. Then I started my period. Have any of you gained 5 or more pounds during your period? If I would have been eating wrong, and not exercising I wouldn't have freaked out. But I work my butt off! lol..

I have always felt that before someone decides to "see" me he should know my history of obesity and plastics. I don't bring it up on the first or second date, but planned to tell anybody that I really intended to "go" with. I have a "friend" that I have been seeing quite awhile (no long term potential there) and he told me -without my even asking - that I shouldn't bother mentioning my plastics. Hey lady friends, I have PCOS and have been taking the pill continuously (no placebo week) for YEARS (over 15 years to be precise) with out having a period. Well for some reason, I started having moderate (not what I would deem as light) spotting a few days ago! I haven't missed pills so that can't be it. I'm finding limited answers online but did see something (not from a doctor/medical professional) talking about how rapid weight loss can cause you to produce more estrogen or something but again, I am on the pill so I can't figure out why is this happening. Anyone else have this happen or have an idea what the f*** is going on?

So I'll be getting the Mirena IUD soon and I'm worried that it's going to be very painful. I've only known two people who've had them- one has had children and the other hasn't. Both of them have said that it was very painful and they had to take a few days off of work. I don't have very much vacation time left and I don't want to take any days off. My doctor told me that it can be more painful for women who haven't had children vaginally. Does anyone have any experience getting a Mirena inserted that wasn't painful? Thank you!!

hello all. I have lost near 100 pounds since my surgery June 18th 2013. While I feel great there are other parts that don't. To make a long story short I went to my ob/gyn and he did some tests, took some blood and turns out I'm estrogen deficient. I am 27 years old. Not even near menopause. Has this happened to anyone else? When asked what the cause of this could be he said stress but when I asked if it could have anything to do with weight loss he immediately wrote it off. Thoughts/ opinions?

I am thinking of skipping the necklace because I would feel like June Cleaver in a close fitting string of pearls and not sure what else would go with it. But I don't get a visible menstrual cycle anymore, makes it hard to figure out when things are going down. I believe I'm in my TOM now because I am more emotional and a few other calling cards (Water retention, bloating etc). I never gave any thought to this side effect for after surgery but now during this noticeable influx of hormones, I find I can eat m…

All of our years of being married I've felt insecure but even more so since I've slowly gained weight over time. Anyway, what has caught me by surprise with this surgery is that I’m having some self-image issues. I’ve always had self-image issues as an overweight individual but I assumed that as I lost weight, I would feel better about myself. And I do. In some ways. Maybe it’s not a self-image issue at all. Maybe it’s just anger and resentment? Perhaps it's a mix. I don’t know. The problem is this. DH had reached a point where he was no longer interested in being intimate with me at all prior to my weight loss. Now he’s enjoying my weight loss. He keeps telling me h…

Ok, I get it! I need a new running bra! My first full 3K run last week after my tummy tuck and recuperation, I knew I was physically ready to do it start to finish (on the treadmill in the gym) so I psyched my self up. No stopping unless I broke my leg! I didn't plan on my boobs going down and the bra going up at the 2 mile mark! Ever try to re-tuck those flabby boobies while running on a treadmill, in a crowded gym. And not attract any attention or go shooting off the back! I thought everyone here could use the laugh. I am happy to say I have a new running bra which compresses those babies into pancakes, and new running tights...... Size SMALL! Hope you got a smile!

He watches T.V. until 3 or 4 in the morning, mostly falling asleep with it on, gets up and down to go outside, eats! Before I could sleep through this, now I fall asleep at my normal 10-11 and I'm woken up by 12:30-1.
