corset place is having a big sale. I want something that would look nice under a jacket or something.... I have a quirky sense of style but have to be a bit careful to not get overly sexy looking. I am not a shy dresser.... I at times think I border on tacky but it comes from a lifetime of ugly mom jeans and fleece... ain't gonna do it! Since plastics, I have found that my boobs get more attention than is always appropriate..haha. I don't want them popping out the top so to speak so finding the "right" one is important. I don't really need something to hold my gut in as I am reasonably lump free - though not perfect! Anyway ladies, do some window shopping with m…

I've been in a relationship for almost 6 months. It's a difficult one, because even though we love each other, we have nothing in common. It's really hard to find things we can do together. I don't know what to do. It's getting old always having him tell me he doesn't like to do that, when I suggest something. Plus he is way too clingy. He has no other friends because he moved here from CA and lives out in the country. He doesn't even come into town much. He's just not made any effort to make friends, other than women he has met through online dating. I need help with how to tell him he is smothering me and that I feel like since he never wants to do anything I want t…

I was sleeved april 2 and lost almost 60 lbs so far. I am in a wedding in three months and had to order a dress today. A size 16 fit and a size 14 could almost zip up. The sales people kept telling me to get the 16, but I know how my body has been losing. I went with the 14 thinking even that may need to be taken in by then. Was u wrong to assume and order the smaller size?

So I had my annual with my gyno this morning, and I wanted to get back on birth control since I'm feeling and looking good, so who knows when I'm having sex next!? (That is totally a joke! I don't plan on sleeping around, but I just started talking to a really nice guy and who knows where this is going!? So I just want to be ready for anything!). I'm going back on the pill, which is what I was on before, but i don't know if it is going to have any affect on my stomach? Probably not, but I really don't want to chance it! I had been on the pill before to try and take care of my PCOS, which is the main reason I want to get back on it. Anyways!! Any input would help!! T…

Well let's just get to the point... it could be a little personal but I have to talk about this and I don't know who I can talk to... I have met my boyfriend in spring 2010 so we've been together for more than 4 years now. In the last year before my surgery I didn't feel very sexy, so we didn't do much when it came to sex. Things are different now. I am losing weight and gaining confidence every day... So first he was all jealous and he didn't want me to go out or talk to other people. Now that is under control again. I mean, I know he is in this process with me and things are changing for him as well, but it is not always for the better... We haven't had sex since my…

Hi Ladies! How often did you find you needed to replace your bras during the weight loss process? Even in jeans and a loose t-shirt, the right bra can mean the difference between "casual" and "sloppy", and I'm trying to work on a budget to make sure I can keep myself outfitted in the right size hooter holsters. Thanks!

I am a DDD and have always had bigger boobs...I'm wondering how much other ladies have lost in this area? I'm going to have a lift someday, probably after having kids, but I would just love to buy a bra that isn't a huge old grandma bra. If I remember right I was a D in high school already...ugh the horrors of running in PE class...and then as I gained weight they just kept growing... My sisters teased me that it's because we used to do the "we must we must we must increase our bust" exercises HAHAHA

Been with someone for 8 years. We've had our ups and downs but all paths seem to lead back to each other. But he didn't even send flowers to me in hospital. He didn't msg to find out where I was at. He did not visit. I finally gave in (stupid me) and called him and said what is going on? How come you are being like this? No response really from him, said he had to go. Well today is fathers day so he is with his girls but I want answers! I hate covert crap. I should be strong enough to not need closure but I'm not, I'm a few days since surgery and the person who was there for me every day before it is gone!!!

Was sleeved august 7th. My Dr. Told me as women lose weight we become fertile myrtles. His words!!! He says the pill, which is what I'm on, and a few other contraceptives aren't as effective. ( I guess the pill do to absorption problems) Have any of you been told that by your Dr.'s? If so what are you using that works?

So for the past three months (I'm 6 months post op) I have been losing hair like crazy. I was taking a shower and wringed out my hair and a huge wad of hair was pulled out (looked like a mini poodle) lol. I have a lot of hair, very thick and heavy. Now I see some bald/thinning out spots. I take biotin and use biotin shampoo. I read that I will eventually go away but I wanted to dye and cut my hair before August. Would it be safe to do it? I don't like losing this much hair. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I just found out my surgeon uses a catheter...apparently inserted when I'm out and I will wake up to it. Of all the things to be nervous about, I have to admit catheter removal is right up at the top of that list! Having never had one, all I can imagine is extreme discomfort while in there (how the hell am I supposed to walk the halls with an effing catheter coming out of my crotch??), and removing it...oh god...removing a catheter!!?? Is it as bad as I am imagining it? I am not picturing pain exactly, but very weird nerve pain that will last long after the deed has been done....with ghost pain days after Has anyone successfully lobbied their surgeon against giving …

My surgeon said I might have an issue and need to be seen during my TOM post-op since I will be on blood thinners for 30 days. Normally he would discontinue blood thinners upon discharge from the hospital but I had a clotting issue in pregnancy so he doesn't want to take any chances. What had me a little concerned to is that I hemorrhaged twice after having my twins as well. Any words of encouragement? Did anyone need to be seen during their TOM because of the blood thinners? Thanks ladies

Hey ladies, I have been on birth control pills for several years now and has had no problems with it. I was now wondering since with weight loss comes increased fertility has anyone experienced their pills not being as effective? I don't know if I should change methods or what...so far I have been pleased with the pill and I would prefer not to change but I also don't need any surprises because pregnancy is definitely NOT in my plans.

I am a 44DD and terribly uncomfortable right now, all sorts of aches associated with the sheer weight of the girls (not to mention that bras have become devices of torture) My surgery is October 5 and along with the obvious weight loss and I am seriously hoping the twins will diminish as well. Did your boobs shrink measurably ? would love to hear your stories to give me hope.

Okay I am finally once and for all done with the boyfriend I had for over a year. It essentially ended back in early April though we sorta tried one last time to have a relationship closer to what I wanted and it was an epic fail. I am ok, it was a good situation for a long time but now I am finally open to a good relationship. I saw someone for a few weeks in June/early July but ended it when his true colors started showing. Recently, I met someone I really like and who seems to like me. We have only had 2 dates but they were both great. Our first meeting was like 5-6 hours and out second date involved a hike and 2 meals....more like 12 hours! He is attractiv…

Thing again. I theorize it is because I am thin now. When I was fat people thought it was good I didn't eat much. Now that everybody thinks I am thin, my small portions are gathering unwanted attention and i don't like it. Maybe this belongs in the rant section, but I really really really wonder why it is people even CARE what I am eating? My BMI is still in the 23 range so it's not like I am skin and bones either. I have not been feeling 100% lately and eating greasy fried food doesn't sit well. So last night I was at a tavern and could not imagine a burger and fries so I ordered veggies with hummous. You would have thought I ordered a side of birdseed to eat ba…

So call me strange, but when I find myself being self-defecting, I pick a "theme song" that helps me get through the moment. It's a quick way to elevate my mood and get me moving in a positive direction. If you had a theme song, what would it be? My current one is 'Pour Some Sugar Me' by Poison. :-)

Good evening everyone. I don't have anyone to ask who would understand this question. I need new undies an I am tired of buying packs of underwear only to try one pair and find out they don't stay on! My first problem is I have no butt whatsoever and the girth of my hips and abdomen are sticking out past my behind. The major problem is my underwear don't stay up. They manage to roll down as I am walking and REALLY create a problem when I am wearing a skirt (really pleasant visual image, I am sure ). I am also on a tight budget and am in the pre-op process, so I don't want to put out much money and they don't need to be of the highest quality since I don't plan on keeping…

Sorry if this is TMI, but I have to ask. I was banded 9 days ago and since around day 3 I've been having vaginal bleeding. Not alot, but enough to get on your nerves. The kicker is I'm on BCP's-the kind you take for 3 months and then have a period. I haven't missed any pills and SHOULD NOT be having a period right now. Could this be because my body's in shock or something from the surgery? Or because I'm eating (drinking-ugh) only 500-600 calories a day? Anyone else experience this?

I had my sleeve done on 7/31/14 and the first few days of being home after the surgery and smelling the food that my husband started making the kids for dinner at night, really made me depressed thatI couldn't share it with them. I got to the point that I was actually letting my son's goldfish crackers melt in my mouth so that I had something other than Jello, gatorade, Water, and assorted juices. I then moved on to having Peanut Butter filled pretzles melt in my mouth just so I could get Protein and start to feel some energy. Since then I have sort of moved onto Phase 2 foods and am thinking that I might have messed up. I don't feel any discomfort, just in the beginn…

I just learned a few weeks ago that I need a hysterectomy. I'm a little worried about it. I'm scared they'll mess up my port or tubing and cause it to leak or that I'll end up with terrible post-op vomiting and cause a slip. Has anyone here ever had a hysterectomy after being banded? If so, how did it go? Did you have any problems? Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I avoid mirrors and being in pictures as much as possible. Avoiding being in pictures is pretty easy I just volunteer to take the pics. The mirror is not always so easy. I have become adept at just looking at whatever I need to focus on and not pay attention to the rest of me -- like my hair in the morning when I am drying/styling it or the eyebrow area when plucking, etc. If I happen to look in a mirror as I pass it I am always kind of shocked at the person looking back at me lol Anyway, yesterday my boss showed me some pictures that she had been taking around the office for some online advertising that she is doing...and oh my gosh she has one of me and I can't s…

I have been married almost 22 years. Since I have lost the weight 2 1/2 yrs ago with surgery I finally have found out what a true orgasm is. Not that I didn't have them before, but I think im more in "tune" with what's going on when they happen. The only thing is it takes a vibrator plus my hubby to get there, and its freakin amazing! I hope my hubby doesn't think that he is not good enough for it to be just him? Anyone else have to have a toy to get there?

After almost 10 years of battling with insurance companies and a long growing list of medical problems, the day has finally arrived. I'm 31 years old and take more mediations than both of my parents combined (and they take a lot). The process is moving so fast that it's all surreal. I'm super nervous and excited. I can't sleep just counting down the days. :-) Thank you ladies for all your success stories, they have been very inspirational and have kept my spirits up not to quit trying. I will continue to check in as I'm sure I will need a lot of guidance through the journey of my new life.

There is no polite way to say this. I think I am experiencing labial chafing! I have lost a LOT of weight in the past year of so and since wearing smaller clothes, I think all my clothes are rubbing on the extra skin near the vaginal/ labial area. I have tried wearing looser clothes, but eventually pants etc do start rubbing, I wear pantiliners daily and I have tried every OTC remedy known to man (inc gold bond- don't try it- it is painful!!). Anyone else experience this? Aside from vaginoplasty, what did you do? Thanks!!

So I'm a little confused. 15 pounds ago I felt better about my body than I do now. I've lost just over 100, have 22.5 left to goal and yet now when a pound comes off I feel worse. The only explanation I can come up with is that I am 7 pounds heavier than I was all through high school and my body looks SO much bigger than it did then. And my stomach doesn't seem to be getting any smaller. Is anyone else running into this? It's frustrating to go from feeling better with evry pound o worse. Any suggestions? HELP PLEASE!

I'm so disappointed as I have lost 50 pounds in the year since my lapband surgery and now have been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. My pelvic organ prolapse is part of the problem. When I have a "flare," I cannot eat or drink much at all. It is miserable, and I just wonder if there's a connection between the flare and not being able to eat or drink much at all. Has anyone else had this situation?

What supplements / diet work for you in perimenopause? No night sweats or hot flushes here-- it's all estrogen surge with inflamed fibroids, tender boobs, bloated, & got to add bitchy! Never expected all this-- it's like PMT that never ends, & revs again right after a period. Ugh! Have tried: progesterone cream, iodine, & calcium d glucarate ( hard to find sometimes) with just enough relief to not go insane. No joy or difference with phytoestrogens , soy, black cohosh or no dairy. Any one find if birth control pill helped at all? Any advice welcome!

I'm a year out and my periods are irregular and have way to many. I've been on the pill for 3 months now and it's made them worse, to the point of bleeding almost every other week. I can't do Mirena (New job cant take off work plus I've never had kids so they said it would be harder to insert), so I'm seriously considering the Depo Shot. So I have always had dramatically asymmetrical breasts - as in, one is a D, one isn't even an A, I wear mastectomy insert even though I haven't had a mastectomy - that kind of asymmetrical. Honestly, on my right side, it always just seemed like what an overweight guy has: the shape and the feel are totally different from a woman's breast and there's no real breast tissue. But today I realized, it seems like my right breast has grown. I think I feel some breast tissue and I see a stretch mark that I don't think used to be there. I'm nearly seven weeks out and I've lost almost 40lb since starting the preop diet in the middle of May. Is there some kind of hormonal reas…

Can we talk about alcohol? Shhh! Don't tell my Dr. But I started drinking again. I'm still loosing, so I'm not concerned about the caloric part of it. I mainly feel guilty because he told me not to drink for a year. But I'm single, 30, loving myself and my new body and I've been a SHUT IN for the last 4 years! I want to go out and have fun! Don't judge. If i do drink it's a wine spritzer or beer. I find that I get tipsy, then sober up real quick. I guess it goes right through me faster now and doesn't absorb like it used to? Anyone else have similar stories to share?
