Birth control?

Was sleeved august 7th. My Dr. Told me as women lose weight we become fertile myrtles. His words!!! He says the pill, which is what I'm on, and a few other contraceptives aren't as effective. ( I guess the pill do to absorption problems) Have any of you been told that by your Dr.'s? If so what are you using that works?

I hope so! I'm 33 and want kids more than anything. Had a miscarriage back in '03 and gained a lot of weight over the last 11 years. Haven't gotten pregnant since, but them again I don't have regular cycles, extra weight=insulin resistance=fertility issues

Yes, my doctor told me the same. I've taken the pill for forever and she said it would be important to use a second form of protection. Apparently the hormonal changes make you more fertile.
