So I was sleeved 10/30 that same day after I woke up and went to the bathroom I got my period. Now my period always comes at the end on the month. And also I'm known to having iregular periods but not this month. So I haven't gotten it yet and tomorrow's a new month! did any of your periods return to normal or was your system changed because of surgery?

I'm not even kidding you right now. I don't know why. I mean, of course, it's expected that with the loss of weight, my hips will get smaller. But it's not just that it's getting smaller, it doesn't even look like the butt I had 10 years ago when I was still slim. It's literally gone. I don't know if that's just the way it looks since my belly isn't as tone as it was back then, or what. But crap!!! I liked my poofy butt I used to have. I'm kinda bummed.(Well not really...I'm lovin the weight loss and the measurements loss...still. *sigh*)

Hi all, booked in for surgery on 16th December. What do you recommend taking with me? Was thinking my laptop (as got to work still), books, toiletries and pj's but anything specific? Also I'm concerned about not wearing knickers, they will give me something to wear won't they?? I hate not wearing any. Also would do you think I could wear non wired crop top, also hate not wearing a bra!

Before surgery, my periods were like clockwork, heavy the first 2-3 days, then normal flow, and lasted the full 7 days. I started the day after my sleeve surgery, and because of the heparin shots, it was excessively heavy and lasted about 10 days. I should have started again a week ago, but I'm not even showing signs of starting yet. Before anyone asks, no, I'm not pregnant. I'm 39 years old with 3 adult sons, a teenage daughter, and 2 grandbabies. I had my tubes cut, tied, and burnt 16 years ago, and hubby had a vasectomy just to make sure! LOL! Anyway, I've been reading some of your posts here talking about the surgery regulating your cycle...anyone have the experience …

I get hormone related cystic acne (2-3 spots at a time, usually) during Shark Week as a pre-op. After reading about how our hormones tend to go wonky after surgery, I'm kind of expecting it to get worse before it gets better. Is that the case? If so, has anyone out there found a good product / method / ritual to keep it under control? I'm not too worried about the "regular" acne, I'm a pro with foundation, but the cystic stuff hurts. Thanks!

Since I hit the 130s I've been experiencing discomfort/pain when I sit. I think it's my tailbone because when I put my hand to where the pain is coming from It's a little below the crack of my butt and it feels like a very hard, somewhat flat bone. Last week I went to the movies with my husband and I slouched down in the seat and put my legs up on the seat in front of me (it was a mostly empty theater). Anyway that bone started to hurt within a half hour and even after I changed positions it hurt the rest of the night. Today I attended a theee hour meeting where I sat in a hard plastic chair and surprisingly I was fine. Then when I was driving home I had to keep adj…

Hi Ladies, So won't like this question, and that's ok with me. I'm new to this and I have a honest question. I'm not trying to step on ANYONE'S toes with this question. I see a lot of pics that peoples very successful weightloss. In some full body pics I see people who look very different up top, but below....it looks like they are the same size as before surgery-big thighs and legs. I have big thighs and legs now. My question is- Is this just how some women look after weightloss regardless of exercise. Are there workouts that can be done to get the legs in better proportion with the top part?

I really need some help from women who have gone down the route of having plastic surgery post weight loss. Specifically breast surgery. I'm trying to decide between and uplift and implants or implants only. I have gotten some conflicting information from 2 great doctors so don't know what to choose. Has anyone here opted to only have implants and if so were you happy with the results or did you find your breasts drooped more after?? I really want to avoid the scarring and loss of functionality associated with an uplift. I am 27 and see as something I could do down the line. Advise from anyone who has had any sort of breast augmentation would be greatly appreciated.

I have two sister in laws (one on each side of the family) that gossip and talk trash about people (me, my mom, anyone with a pulse), even eachother. My surgery is in two months and I am wondering how significant weight loss may make me the talk of the family. I was bullied as a child and have a hard time dismissing this kind of stuff. My husband is nonchalant and says they will hate on you fat or skinny. How do you postops cope? Thanks

I have PCOS, and my cycles have never, ever been regular in the 17 years I've been having periods. For those of you who were irregular pre op, how long did it take for you to become more regular post op? Or did you never become regular? I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this question or not...

I have lost 80 pounds since April I find I am having some anger directed towards men. It comes from the way they treated me before (mostly ignoring or avoiding me) and they way they treat me now that i am more "normal weight" (like they treat every one else, some even flirting with me). I'm still the same person I was before inside, why the difference in treatment? Kinda makes me mad. Anyone else have that issue? How did you deal with it? Do you eventually get over it?

Saw my surgeon today and booked my surgery date YAY!!! But... It's the same day as my period is due obviously after waiting this long to have this done, I'm not about to reschedule because of it... But I'm a bit stressed that this will be embarrassing and gross and just one more thing I'll be worrying about in the lead up to my big day. Did anyone else experience this?

I am 15 months out. I'm 5'2 weigh 142lbs and wear a size 8 jean. I run/fast walk 3 days a week for 1 hour, yoga 1-2 days a week and pilates 1-2 days a week. And walk moderate speed another 5 days a week for 30 minutes (this is during my breaks with a co worker to keep her motivated and separate from my "real" work outs). Even with all that I still have this awful roll around my middle. What am I doing wrong? I really do not want to have plastics. Anyone have recommendations on what I can do to feel better in my new body?

Figured the powder Room was a good place for this.... As a WTG gift to myself, I've scheduled a boudoir photo session next week with a really amazing photographer. I've seen many women on this site list this as a reward for themselves-- I thought this was a brilliant idea... Something to make you feel beautiful and sexy--- but now I just feel nervous. haha. I'm wondering how Ill explain that I don't want to accentuate my batwings or loose skin??? lol And now I've been practicing my "sexy face"... Yeah, not so sexy. lol Good luck to me!

This is a combination vent/rant/cry for help. I thought after I lost weight it would give me more confidence, but I'm still the same old me, just smaller. Right now I'm really struggling because I feel like an outcast at work, which feels so stupid because I'm the team leader. While I'm not a boss, I am responsible for making sure my team is running smoothly, I hold weekly meetings, act as a liaison between the administration and my teammates and if there's any issue with our team, I'm held partially accountable. Anyway, when I started here five years ago, I worked with a team of women I really liked. We weren't best friends, but we worked well together, chatted and …

I am three years out. A few months ago, I figured out I was drinking too much.. and had been doing so for almost a year. It started about 2 years out... It was just wine but it got to be just about every night and several glasses. When I stopped I had physical withdrawal symptoms. That was scary to me. Now I am still sober, but I know that there is an issue with my mind wanting to go back to food addiction, drink or do something. I even decided I have collected too many clothes from thrift stores and such and I am working to organize and declutter. I am not actively engaged in any addiction (that I know of). I have therapy once a week, but I have to admit I get n…

Feel like my decision to go through with this was a big personal decision. I haven't had any issues telling my friends that are girls but I have trouble telling the guys. Idk if it's because is think they'll take it the wrong way or idk. Have you guys had the same struggles? Also, I've been dating a few guys pre-op, and I lied and said I was getting my gall bladder out, which I know lying is wrong, but I'm going to be losing weight fast now and I'll need to tell these guys the truth. Help!

Okay ladies, I hope I'm not the only one who had this NSV lol, but using a tampon used to be a struggle for me to get around my big stomach! (When I actually had a period) I'm down a total of about 50 lbs from my high weight, 26 since surgery, and it has made this and so many other things easier! I also did the dishes without having to lean over the sink with my back killing me! Woohoo

Hi everyone, I had surgery on Aug 18 and have lost 42 pounds. However, my clothes still fit much like before. I'm wondering how long/how much weight lost it was before you were able to drop a size? I have really cute stuff two sizes smaller (from a few years ago) that I'd love to wear again. THanks, Jennifer

I have had insulin resistance/pcos for years and barely have had periods. I'm down over 50 lbs since my high weight, and 26 lbs since surgery on 9/22. I was spotty about two weeks ago and now started a real period!!! I had this surgery to have a family someday and I'm hoping this is the start of me ovulating and becoming regular as I lose more weight. I will have to remember why I had this surgery as I curl up in the fetal position with cramps lol

I love wearing dresses, i find them comfy, easy to wear etc. I often wear them when i go into the office. I can wear heels and my calves are toned so look not bad for a middle aged lady! I generally wear skinny jeans and a "top" when i go out because that seems like a more normal, typical way of dressing at least where i live. Recently read dating advice that women should wear a dress on early dates, look feminine, show off legs etc. It is all part of that initial visual attraction. Not so much to look crazy sexy, but rather to emphasize the feminine and so forth. I am very curious other's perspective and experience on this. i have a "going dancing" date on Fri…

HEY LADIES! Woke up this morning so nauseous, I can't even stay standing. brushing my teeth made me gag tip I threw up. I am on Day 2 of my period. Only 3 weeks post op. Had really bad cramps yesterday but today is crazy. Yesterday, I had a Protein shake, some egg whites, and a yogurt. Today I am currently choking down a Protein Shake. Has anyone experienced this type of sickness during their period after their surgery? I appreciate your responses

TMI if any men read this post... but if I don't start my period soon I'm gonna start hurting people... I always gain some weight but I'm only up a pound, so after I start, I'll probably drop a couple. But the PMS is killing me (well, making we want to kill my kids and dogs and anyone else close by)! And, I've been doing great on my food plan, never craving carbs or wanting to eat unhealthy things but over the past 2-3 days I'm thinking about chocolate and chips and toast with butter and grabbing bites of things as I walk by (even if it's almonds or fruit). I hate being a girl sometimes...

Ok so this might be a bit lengthy, sorry but I really need some advice from those who are not close to the situation. I have been with my boyfriend for over two years. We moved to my hometown about a month ago. I (not we) bought a house, because we couldn’t afford rent. The main reason we moved was because there was more job opportunity for him. He even sold his house. He only has a HS Diploma so I thought that learning a trade or something of that nature would be good for him because he feels he is not college material. We were talking the other day and I finally realized he has no goals in life. He told me “to be alive” was his goal. My brain cannot process this. I …

Yes, I caught my husband trying to secretly videotape me. But let's dial it back... We have a 15 month old daughter, so we don't have as much nookie as we used to. I'm too busy and not mentally interested. Sometimes, however, I will work out a quick and dirty O with my vibrator before I fall asleep to relax me. Masturbation is relaxing, I don't have to worry about performing and so forth. But then I discovered my husband, who I thought was out in the other room at the time, would lay next to the door outside the bedroom and listen and jerk off. Even if I wasn't doing anything! It was such a sad and desperate act that it kinda turned me off even more. Maybe some women wo…

So most of us take a multi Vitamin along with our b complex and Iron. Does anyone take pre or post workout supplement? What do You like about It? I started taking Prosculpt for my pre workout and its ok. It gives me a little boost but goes away soon after my workout. Then I mix my bcaas with my Protein shake afterwards. Alot of fitness people back up taking supplements but I wondered how many people actually take them Also, I was thinking about joining a crossfit gym. They are really expensive but train hard. Any ladies here do crossfit and if so did you struggle? I have had episodes of nausea and light headedness before working out.

I have been seeing someone for I don't know...6 -7 weeks? anyway, it has been going pretty well - we really have a great time together and he likes doing active things so our "dates" tend to be fun stuff like kayaking, hiking, horse backriding as well as wine tasting and all that. Really, everytime we have had a very good time together, never run out of things to say etc.. I have had the feeling that even if it doesn't turn into a serous romance, maybe I have made a new friend and that isn't so bad either. I haven't been seeing anyone else even though we aren't really that serious yet, mostly because i am pretty busy and just get ... defocused ... if I try to date se…

So, I'm a couple of years into the journey, having lost 75 pounds. I am not slim, at size 16, but I am happy at this weight. I have just begun a promising relationship, with a guy that seems sweet, and attracted to me. I am very much looking forward to some physical intimacy...it's been a while...and it certainly is headed in that direction. So, my question.....that fold of skin left over from losing so much weight is very unattractive, as are my floppy breasts. It makes me very self conscious. Should I: 1). Find a way to bring up the weight loss/surgery, and the after effects (forewarned is forearmed)? 2). Don't say anything until after the big event, then say…

Hello out there, I am almost 2 years post op. I went from 297 down to 217, however, it seams like I have stated to gain some weight back, yet I have all this excess skin. Is there anyone out there with a doctor recommendation to do body improvements? It has been over a year since I have been on here. I look a whole lot better, but the excess skin is driving me nuts and I want to get it removed at this point.

Soooooo.... Okay so no one ever said to me I was fat before, but I knew it and so did everyone else. But now I've been faced with people that are like "OMG! You're too skinny! You need to stop losing weight". Now I realize I've lost a little too much, and the dr has assured me this is normal. But I'm just wondering where people get off? Why do they think it's appropriate to tell me I'm too skinny, yet thought it was inappropriate to tell me I was fat?! Especially those people who aren't in my close circle of friends! My close friends are so encouraging. And I am so thankful for them, but I'm seriously sick of the others who think they have the right to offer their opinion…

Let me preface this. This is an NSV for me. Fat girl all my life, teased by boys from an early age, shunned later, I, (as many of us I'm sure), learned to remain "aloof". Show no interest and they'll leave you alone and not hurt you. This makes for a "cold" and rarely playful adult woman. So the NSV... I'm chatting with this guy I've met on-line who I have a date to meet in a few hours and he flirts a bit. I actually managed to come back in such a way as to elicit the comment, "You're a good flirt"! Funny that that's a milestone for me, but it totally is, to have the kind of confidence to take that kind of risk! So wish me luck with this one. He looks kinda cute and …
