Saw my surgeon today and booked my surgery date YAY!!! But... It's the same day as my period is due obviously after waiting this long to have this done, I'm not about to reschedule because of it... But I'm a bit stressed that this will be embarrassing and gross and just one more thing I'll be worrying about in the lead up to my big day.

Did anyone else experience this?

I had surgery at 7am on October 21, spent that night, had a swallow study done the following morning, spent that night, and was discharged the next afternoon. I don't know why he keeps his patients two nights.

Got mine today and having surgery Monday. I'm glad they can deal with this. I was planning to let them know.

They made me stop my birth control pills because of the risk of clotting and I only take them because I don't stop bleeding without them. Now I'm bleeding, of course. I was afraid that would happen!

Oh well. What can you do?
