Hello, My name is Misty, and I am 26, almost 27 this August. I have been overweight since about the age of 7 on and it wasn't so bad (maybe 50 lbs overweight) in my junior/senior year of HS, but then I started working fast food and that was part of my downward spiral. My highest weight was 302 in 2013 and that scared me so I dieted and exercised and lost 30 pounds. I managed to keep from gaining more than 10 lbs back. I've tried so many diets and none of them stuck.

My inspiration is my mom. She was overweight my whole life pretty much and in the last 12 to 14 months she lost about 75 lbs all through dieting and now she is dedicated to exercise. I don't have the same will power that she did, but seeing her shrink like that really made me want to make something happen.

My co-worker got the Sleeve and raved about it and her surgeon. She even told me how much she paid and it was so affordable that I couldn't see a reason for waiting any longer. I had been thinking about it for years, but I feel like 2014 is a big year for me for making changes in my life. I look forward to starting my pre-op diet, and starting the protein. I already want to start toning to limit the amount of flabby skin that I will have post-op. I'll start right after my consult!
