  4. You look great! Congrats! I hear you on the BMI thing. I feel like the weight at which I would be a normal weight according to the chart will make me look too skinny. I guess time will tell. Also, side note, I now want an Angry Orchard after seeing the sign behind you in the 4th picture. haha
  5. I tried to practice this pre-op and found it difficult. Now, I am nearly 3 weeks post op, and I find that it's not that difficult at all. Eating a single scrambled egg easily took me 30 minutes. I literally look at a clock and take a bite every 2 minutes. I also agree with EmmaKathleen, doing something else during it definitely helps, even if "they" tell you not to do that. haha I think you'll find it easier post op.
  6. I've thought the same thing. I'm 5'9" or 10" depending on the day and who does it. My original goal was 180#, but then I saw that that is still "overweight," so I changed it to 160#. I'm not sure it's doable. Congrats to you on your awesome weight loss!

  8. I think I'm going to give the miralax a try, myself. I don't feel backed up, per se, but the two stools I've had since surgery a little over a week ago have been less than easy to accomplish. I'm drinking plenty of fluids, so I don't know that it's a dehydration issue. I was so regular before, but it's a small price to pay. haha
  9. How's everyone getting their Vitamins in? I have yet to get them all in in a day. I tried mixing 2 of them crushed into yogurt yesterday, but I could only take like 3 bites then I was done. I'm getting my Water and Protein in, I just wondered if I should be concerned. I was sleeved on Wednesday.
  10. @@sschoch30, I was sleeved the 29th, and I had the nausea for the first couple of days, then it has largely gone away. It was so bad, then I'd dry heave and that was miserable. I hope you're feeling better.
  11. My mom had the RNY about 5 years ago and drinks coffee like it's nobody's business. I think she started a month or so post op.
  12. Forsythia is right. You can't wear a tampon during the surgery, but you should be able to put one in after of you wanted.
  13. I have pcos and I have surgery Wednesday. I'm hoping for a big difference, too! I've heard there's a pcos sleevers board but I haven't found it yet.
  14. I've gotten singles at HyVee. I think that might be a regional grocery store though so depending on where you're located, that might not help. Lol
  15. The ones I've tried have been delicious. They're high in protein, too so that is great. I agree with the above poster who said she eats half at a time. That's probably a good call post op. I'm not post op yet but I ate them on my supervised pre op diet.
  16. @@INT125922, you look so awesome! I initially placed my goal weight at 180, but then realized that was still in the "overweight" category. I adjusted to 160 (where you are now), so I'd be in the normal category with a little wiggle room. My doctor doesn't seem to upset if I get to 180, he's not a huge fan of the BMI chart, he says. Anyway, all that to say, you're an inspiration! Thanks!

  18. I Was thinking of doing measurements on Tuesday before I go in for surgery Wednesday morning. What all should I measure? It seems like that's one of the biggest regrets people have post op, is not measuring pre op.
  19. I'd love to see after pictures now that you reached goal! You and I are the same height, so I'm always wanting to get an idea of what I might be like post op.
  20. Thanks for your responses, guys! My husband is not terribly thrilled at the prospect of condoms for 18 months, so I was hoping my periods would regulate so I can use the rhythm method. Having done a few years of infertility treatments, I know what to look for so I know when to avoid or block. haha Thanks!
