  3. I was the same. You're doing great. Step at a time!

  5. Ahh ok, no worries, just a thought. Your bodies metabolism is getting real fast then...not always a bad thing!. Also a good idea to check cortisol levels incase
  6. I'm only just sleeved but gained a lot of weight due to my under active thyroid...maybe even get some blood tests if you're worried, you may have an overactive thyroid? Not saying your awesome loss is a bad thing! Just a suggestion if you are not quite feeling right
  7. Absolutely normal. I've been overwhelmed most days since surgery on Thursday. Just hits me. So let it out, cry if you need to, hopefully it will make you feel much better .
  8. Hi there...this is actually a thread about my boyfriend leaving after 8 years a couple of days after surgery. Try one of the others and there will be lots more people able to help you...I'm only at the start so not much use
  9. Just spoke to surgeon. He said it is a clot but not a life threatening one. It should clear up but if not in the next few days get some anti biotics to stop any infection spreading. It was caused by the vein being traumatised with the iv...he seemed very relaxed so that made me feel good.
  10. Thanks me too...having freak outs now lol. Over analysing every part of my body and how I'm feeling lol. The thing that has me confused is my wrist was like this when I left hospital so I thought nothing of it...I hope they will fix me.
  11. Yes I'm sure there is an infection of some kind. Dr I trust has left for the day , will see her in the morning. Waiting for surgeons phone call, if he sounds concerned at all, ER it will be straight away
  12. Really? I'm not very educated in dvt and for some reason thought it only effected the legs...just called my surgeon, will hear back shortly and go from there...the ER here is as useful as fine bone china at a tea party for drunken elephants lol.
  13. Hey guys....I'm 5 days post op and have a large lump on my left arm where one of the iv's were contacted. Its very puffy, a lot of heat in it. I remember they flushed it with water a few times, maybe its a build up of fluid? I'm just worried its infected due to the heat in it and soreness, its no bigger but was worried...anyone have this? Should I ask my normal Dr for some anti biotics or talk to surgeon? Thank you!

  15. Hehe you're both hilarious! I feel lighter already having lost his weight lol. One less person to have to carry burdens of...I like it!
  16. Never. All my weight gain has been other health problem related. He always took me to the Dr, etc. He was concerned about me having the surgery, thought it was drastic and not guaranteed to work in my case especially as even though I love nice food, I've not over eaten or been unhealthy. I doubt he is scared...probably just his way of walking from a situation he sees no benefit in being in...either way if all he cares about him then he certainly shouldn't be around for my new start. Just such a shock. Very unexpected...
  17. Thank you. Just spoke to him. He said he was done because I was harsh in an email to him. I said "what an email typed when I was a day pre op and anxious? It wasn't that bad, just honesty...how have you managed to make MY surgery about you?". He said "I don't need this in life". What an absolute arse. I said you were there for me every step leading up and now its too hard? I don't want someone who doesn't care for me! But at the same time he WAS my supporter, and so now I'm feeling so left in the wilderness, like the light that helped is gone. Its a hard thought to get used to. But I'm sure with time it will feel ok
  18. Thank you. Guess there is never a "good" time for this stuff but in a few weeks would have been nice lol. So nice to have your kind words...really helps
  19. You all will look incredible on your way to goal. Tall men especially make me smile lol...in a nice suit...mmmmm
