  1. Hello everyone, My name is Christie and ive had my band for 2 1/2 years now. the first year and a half was going great for me, i lost 100 lbs. i started out at 335 and got down to 224. now im gaining weight (back up to 260 and climbing) and cannot get myself back to where i was. i was doing soo well, i started having troubles with fills, i would get too much, wait too long, then have it taken out and back and forth so forth and so on, and its been a downward spiral since. i learned to eat around my band(junk) and i cant stop.. then on top of all of it, ive lost my motivation, and confidence in this. i was soo happy with myself and now i am depressed again feeling like a failure. how do i pick my self up and start over, or have i lost my chance with this??? i still feel restriction at times but eat foods that just go threw the band instead of struggling. i know im taking the easy way out in eating the crap that i used to i just cant get myself back. could someone please help guide me back into the right direction again. has anyone else gone threw this too?? any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
  2. that is AWESOME... i would love to talk.. my email is charmed6213@msn.com.. i was starting to think that there was no one around here that has had it done. please send me an email. christie:lol::wub::thumbup:
  3. hey everyone, hope everyone made it threw the holidays well :tongue2: .. does anyone live anywhere in or close to Fall River, MA? i would love to meet bandsters close to me. thanks, christie:thumbup:
  4. does anyone know if mass health covers the surgery? has anyone that had the surgery on masshealth. were they hard to get them to cover. please any info would help ... thank you
  5. i can soooo understand how you feel. i do the same exact thing. i start out everyday saying that im going to do good and at breakfast i feel like i get stuck so for the rest of the day i justify my crappy eating by saying that i am really tight that day and junk food goes down really easy. its very hard to break out of the habit. my husband just had his surgery in april and im trying to be good to show him but im getting to be a horrible roll model. just need some help to break these horrible habits. i also hurt my knee and need surgery to repair it so ive been laid up with that. i was doing so well when i was excercising now im stuck with that also. just need some motivation .. :confused2::confused2:
  6. i need help. i had my surgery in aug 08 and i have been doing great. down 85-90 lbs. but lately im cheating, i m finding myself eating easy foods. things that go down easier than protein and good foods that i need. im in southern massachusetts. i need to be motivated and get myself out of this slump that im in.
  7. when you get something stuck, is there anyway to progress it along faster? when i get stuck it seems to be for hours until i can get it up, is there anyway to make it faster?
  8. hi everyone called the doc today and i got a slight unfill im at 1cc now and feel great. it was like almost instant relief. in 20-30 mins i felt soo great again. im eating just enough now and not constantly getting sick off every bite. thanks for the help' christie :clap2:

  11. i am a week out and i had my 1 wk appt and told my doc about the pain. she said it was the port and that the abdominal wall that its attached to is not used to having anything there and needs to work it self out. tr putting an ice pack on it when you lie down or if the pain comes that helped me soo much. hope this helps
