I haven't tried it but others recommend tiny sips of pineapple juice to break up whatever is stuck.

If mine lasted for hours I would be miserable - I feel for you. I hope this helps you!

You can also try chewable papaya enzyme tablets. They can be found in places like Walgreens, with the Vitamins.

Keep in mind, though, that pineapple and papaya (and some will suggest meat tenderizer, too) that these things work best on Proteins. If it's bread or Pasta that's stuck, these things will be of little help.

Some people can find relief by trying to wash it down with a drink of something, and others find that drinking makes it worse.

Take smaller bites, chew more, and stop before you feel any pressure. Prevention is best, if you can help it.

standing up, bend over to touch your toes...this will help expel what is stuck...and the pineapple juice works...just slower.

The last time I was stuck I sat in a chair and bent as far down as I could and reached as far forward as I could. I did this about four times and up came the offending food. Hope you feel better soon.
