Hi fellow friends and losers! Please be so kind as to reply to this post with your daily meals 3 weeks post op? I am struggling immensely and I am sure I am not getting enough nutrition in. I am lactose intolerant and can't have any yogurt or milk stuffs. Which leaves me with little choice. I am also constantly feeling not well. I think if I eat better I would feel better. So please, to help me and others reading this post, please just give a quick run down of what you are eating at your mealtimes when you're about 3 weeks post op? I hope to catch some great tips from you! I struggle especially with what to have for Breakfast. Thanks all! Obeasta

We use a salad dressing made by Bolthouse that uses yogurt instead of high fat to create a fully body and good taste. A serving is 45 calories. I like to put even less of a serving on my lunch salad that I eat with my protein. My favorite flavor is their honey mustard, but I think they make all flavors with yogurt from 1000 island to blue cheese. Fat is also low by nature of yogurt. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

I started taking one Pack a day 2 days ago because I have heard good things about it if you are training. There are quite a few amino acids in it. Both times I take it I get a headache after 20 m that goes on for hours and am fatigued (as in sleepy) by it. I also get very mild cold/ flu symptoms. Have any of you tried the animal Pak and know what is going on? I haven't changed anything else, drink about 1-1.5 gallon Water a day and do sleep the 7-8 hours a night. I am thinking about returning this back to amazon even though I used 2 packs. Here is a review of the Animal Pak: http://voices.yahoo.com/review-universal-animal-pak-multivitamin-multimineral-3221931.html?cat…

I just started on puréed foods today. I was just trying something new and made some mean seafood salad. I used 1/2 cup of imitation crab meat, 3 tbs miracle whip, dash Worcester sauce, salt & pepper to taste and a dash of old bay. I had to add a medicine cup of Water just to blend it. Puréed in my magic bullet. 2 servings I made a serving 1/4 cup since. Even if not on a puréed diet this could be served on toast or crackers. It was yummy! 192 calories 6.6 g fat 3.5 g carbs 4 g Protein I hope someone else will enjoy this.

For those of you who are pre-op or newly post op, don't fear a lifetime of never, ever again being able to eat out. Tonight I am heading to a Mexican restaurant. I actually eat out fairly often. I will order something that I want to eat and I will really enjoy whatever I order. However, I will consider healthier alternatives. I won't need to eat a half of a basket of chips before my food even arrives. I lost 75 lbs within the first 5 months and my weight has pretty much found a set point at 145 lbs. I still have 20 more lbs to go to goal, but at 7 months out now, I have a lifetime left to get there. I have not lost any weight in the last 6 weeks an that is ok. There…

Ive been doing good, but my Bad habit of grazing is creeping up on me. It has not gotten out of control but I need to stop ! So frustrating! also carbs are becoming difficult to avoid, it's everywhere! I'm super annoyed. I've lost just about 90 lbs since my surgery feb 4th so I'm super proud, but now I'm hitting my stall at 205 lbs.. ahhhh! feeling defeated today im getting parnoid that I could be stretching my stomach and gaining weight... I don't want to worry about everyday or check the scale everyday, but I can't help it. I saw I gain 1 lb today and I was furious! Just wanting to if you guys worry about this. What do you do to stay away from carbs and grazing, …

Being an armchair cook and the gourmet chef out of the house for a few days, I decided to be lazy and see what subway has for options. I heard they used to make any sandwich toppings into a salad. However, tonight I found they have a double chicken chopped salad for only 9 dollars. It is delish and you can put tons of veggies in it and add your own dressing later. I now have enough yummy salad for like 6 meals. Lol. And it is very healthy.

Please don't get mad at me for asking! For me, for my whole life, throwing up is one of the worst things for me, ever. It is the worst sensation and just thinking about it makes me shudder. I do anything to avoid it. Thankfully I am not squeamish. But I've had to stop taking certain meds that cause severe nausea because of it, including some pain meds. Same with a couple foods. I just can't enjoy them at all. Is throwing up with a sleeve more painful? Is there more dry heaving? What food in tolerances have you developed that have caused vomiting? The vomit issue was one of the reasons why I choose not to go with the RNY. Puking very often, especially in the begin…

Ate at Panda Express and got two entree ( Beijing Beef for one entree and pepper chicken for other) with steamed veggies (2 more meals in my Togo box). Was able to eat almost 75% of Beijing beef. Rest is for tomorrow lunch and dinner. Looked up the Beijing Beef after the fact and it is 696 calories a serving with 56 g fat and 26 g of carb. The only saving grace is that it has 26 g Protein per serving. Go ahead, slap me with a handful of chow mein noodles (just don't eat them)!! Lol! I used up almost all my burned calories from 10 k run earlier today. My wife and I also did a leisurely 45 min walk through the alboreetum near the UW campus. So relaxing! Hopefully…

I eat things like Scrambled egg with American cheese half Natural choice lunch meat Cheese Grilled (flavored store bought) tilapia and salmon Tiny shrimp, canned Everything has so much sodium. Please teach me how to get less, while keeping fairly low carb. I could eat eggs without cheese, boil a chicken for the week, maybe make burger patties and freeze or even meatballs. What else? Or should I not worry about sodium right now?

This is actually kind of funny. I ordered the 10 lb option of Chocolate Paradise energy squares thinking I would get 10 1 lb bags. It was cheaper to order it this way. Nope!! They sent me a 10 lb big ol' plastic bag of chocolate energy squares. Literally enough to fill a small wheelbarrow. So here I am with 10 lbs of mana sitting in front of me in an open bag and I was grabbing big handfuls of it, laughing manically like I won the lottery, letting them fall through my fingers. Now I know you guys are salivating now. It truly was a massive amount of energy squares!! I ended up stocking them away into some old protein powder containers and a couple freezer gallon…
