So I let my SO look at some of the threads on here and he came across one talking about what are people eating post op.. he then made a good point to me and said "you ate this way before your surgery"...he wasnt trying to put me down because he is my biggest supporter but now I'm wondering what if I dont lose weight. I was sleeved on May 23rd and before surgery I usually ate 1000-1200 calories per day (1400 when we went out) I also exercised 5-6 days per week. Was anyone else like me who lived a very healthy lifestyle, had all the tests and still couldnt lose weight? What is your success like post op?

Is it bad? I was told not to drink it, but I can't do my shakes without it. Silk does not work. Lactaid does not work. Can only do them with milk without getting sick. Why is milk said to be bad?

So about a week ago I committed to keeping my net carbs under 22 and to get my 60 g of protein finally. I've made 2 desserts for my family (all healthy-ish versions of stuff) and I've skipped it all. Until tonight. Tonight I made banana bran muffins with nuts. I picked the smallest one and ate it. It was a whim and I realized that I hadn't waited 15 minutes after drinking. I also ate the muffin fast. Uhoh. This means its probably coming back up. And a few bites did actually. I also went and did a ttapp "hoedown" (on YouTube) for carb busting. I feel bad about myself a little when I eat junk on a whim. I mean here I am working out 4 days a week and trying so hard to …

These absolutely saved me from dehydration. Water sits really heavy in my stomach and crystal light and other sugar free drinks have a horrible aftertaste to me. I was drinking regular Powerade for a couple days to get fluids in but once I found these packets it was like the heavens opened up and I heard angels singing. They taste so GOOD!!! Just like regular Hawaiian Punch. So for anyone newly sleeved and looking for a flavorful & sugar free way to get in fluids this is the way to go! Sleeved 3/20 Down 48 pounds...

I was sleeved on 2/19 and I am still on a liquid diet. I have noticed that I don't have a taste for anything anymore. All liquids that I used to love make me want to vomit now. Sweet juices taste bitter, and broths taste strange. Has this happened to anyone else??

I am having a difficult time not wanting to at least taste everything I see on tv or that the people are eating in my house. I did really well with my preop diet but my mentality had me in tears because I feel so left out at meal time. I'll be one week post op May 27 and I wanna eat. What helped you when you felt weak?

Start my liquid diet on May 27th. I've tried starting it early but my eating habbits have not been so good lately and now I feel like I have a headache and am hungry all the time. Right noe I still have the luxury of caving into food. But next week I won't have that option. I have learned to love my protien shakes by adding coffee and sugar free flavors like hazelnut, carmel and rasberry. But still feel real hungry.I don't want to cheat or cave into food. Any tips on how I can do this without feeling so darn hungry???

I'm drinking a small Dunkin Donuts Decaf Iced Coffee with Skim Milk & Sweet n Low. I haven't had coffee since November. I don't mind at all that it's decaf, it's the taste of iced coffee I missed. This really quenches my thirst especially during hot summer days. I'm glad my doc allows it once a day although I'm not a regular coffee drinker.

The following is a copy of the cheese Cake Factory Thai Wrap appetizer for dinner tonight! I know you want some. Yummy!! Probably 1 wrap is enough for most. Some might like 1.5 or 2 depending on how far post op you are. At 10 months, I got through 1.5, but that was still a little too much. 1 would have been fine for me, but I enjoyed it too much.

Was sleeved in November. My weight loss has always been on the slow side. I lost 52 lbs so far. I must admit, my food choices have been terrible. I have no limits lately. Eating a lot of junk food. Since surgery I have been eating bigger portions than I should. I was convinced and still am that my surgeon didn't cut out as much of my stomach as she was supposed to. I know I had stomach surgery, not brain surgery, buy I did not expect to be able to still eat the way I am. Unfortunately I am able to handle everything. Once in a while, if I eat to fast, I vomit. Suggestions please on how to get back on track.. Don't want all my hard work to be wasted.

Curious to know portion sizes for meals. I know everyone is different and pouch sizes differ. For me I need a warm drink before facing any breakfast which now is usually meat sometimes 2oz chilli. Lunch will be about 200 ml soup with some crackers. Dinner the other day was a boil in the bag piece of cod and a yogurt. I keep away from snacks and just fill up on water. As it is quite cold now I have recently boiled water rather than cold goes down a lot easier.

I am two months out. I think that maybe I am not getting enough calories. I have not lost anything in about 2 weeks. Right now I am eating between 700-800 calories a day. My NUT wants me at 1000. The problem is I feel like I am always eating even at 700-800 calories, I can't imagine 1000. I don't want to go into starvation mode, if I haven't already. I am lucky and have been able to eat pretty much everything I have tried. Also, I know I don't drink enough water, but I am working on that. Any advice on how to get some extra calories in?

I love the stuff and a girl I work with makes it. They grind everything in a meat grinder so the particles in it are super fine. It has only fish, onions, tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, carrots and cucumbers in it. Anyone see anything wrong with it? I'm hoping I'm not fooling myself!

My wife and i had a wonderful light fresh spring roll meal this evening for dinner at home. Very tasty and healthy. This is more for post ops that are further along because carbs are approximately 9 carb / 35 cal per rice wrap. If you want to eliminate carbs completely as low carb post op, use a lettuce wrap instead of a rice wrap. Wrap filling Ingredients: poblano pepper Thinly sliced cucumber Shredded carrot 3 prawns, large shrimp or chicken Thai basil leaf Cilantro For post ops, Wrap 1/4 cup of ingredients into a Thai rice wrap, fresh Thai spring roll o lettuce wrap ( if you want to cut carbs). Add 2 tbsp Peanut Butter sauce for dipping wrap into. Pe…

My lunch is a salmon patty with a honey/soy glaze and it literally takes ten minutes to make and it's all measured by table spoon! 1 table spoon of: Honey Olive oil Soy sauce Butter melted (I use I can't believe it's not) Brown sugar 1 garlic clove minced Mix in bowl till everything's together, and then marinade. And what ever Protein. I added green onions half way through the cooking process.

I tried the light muscle milk version today and it is pretty good! It has 25 g protein, 210 calories 6 g fat, 13 g carb (2 g sugar) per serving. Sits up there next to my cookies and cream shake staple in terms of taste. I am a dessert flavor protein shake junkie.
