  4. I concur--sometimes the best and only answer is to be the example of a healthier you. Way to go 6 months and 100 pounds!!!!!

Even if you had taken a bite, probably one bite would have put your mind back in touch with your tiny teeny "stomach" and your stomach would have said Hell no--can't handle that fat and fried stuff. Good job

  7. I am 6 weeks post op today and my NUT and surgeon have set protein daily goal of 90 grams. It's impossible to get that much protein without the Protein drinks, but I find that I am getting a horrid aversion to the artificial sweetener taste in the protein drinks and am tending to go with the Soups. Your taste buds might be changing as you go through the process; the whole process seems very individually based.
  8. What works for me (for the most part) is having something to do with my hands that requires them to be clean. Right now I am on a crocheting kick--everyone in my family will be getting something. I have also tried drawing (try Zentangle.com) and paper rafting.
  9. I was sleeved four weeks ago and didn't have too much pain after I returned from an overnight stay in the hospital. Everyone is different so keep your liquid pain meds handy in case. I have had quite a bit of feeling sick after eating some new foods or eating too fast but it's a good reminder to stick to the protocols that the surgeon gave. I was a self pay.

  11. This seems to have the potential for some serious consequences. But what I hear you saying is that you are frustrated and want to be thin now. I am craving a piece of toast with Peanut Butter and berries on it, but none of those items are on my approved list of foods. So I will have a Protein drink (yuck).

  13. Was sleeved 5/16 so just out 4 weeks/a month and down 40 pounds, but still have real trouble with some foods and never feel like I can take a big enough drink of Water to not be thirsty. Am more bothered by temperature variations in food and drink than by the food itself.

  15. Could you post the cupcake recipe? It sounds like manna from heaven.
  16. I'm on meteor in 850mg x2 (was x 3 before surgery), lisinopril, lopid x2 and more damn supplements tan I even want to think about. I have had trouble feeling sick after I take everything and honestly take so many morning pills that I can't eat right after because there is no room. Have tried taking with super Protein drink (unjury and skim milk = 30+ grams of protein) and still feel slightly sick but not as bad as food poisoning.
