I was just told to start eating 3 meals a day and to stop my protien drinks. Sounds great, but...i am having ahard time keeping anything down all of a sudden. Anything protien, like chicken, cheese sticks, lunch meat, i feeel like they are stuck, and i throw them up. Pudding, soup, that stuff is fine, but drinking, well water is a no go too, it makes me nauseous, and i dont drink chemicly infused crap like diet drinks, so drinking is now a serious issue also without my drinks of protien. Tings were going great until now, panic is setting in. What do do, is it normal. Would welcome any help or advice

I eat a strictly Kosher/Halal diet and cannot find any chicken broths that are Kosher available in stores near me, or even online (minus the hefty bulk only + shipping prices). I'm thinking of just going with either the Maggi or Knorr bouillon cubes easily available to me and adding 1 cube per 2-3 cups of boiling Water to use in place of the broth directly or in recipes. This would additionally be ideal for when I go to actually have the procedure in Mexico, as I won't be able to have any of the hospital/hotel provided varieties for the same reasons. So I can just take a pack of cubes and use the microwave. And just in case anyone's wondering, homemade is simply not an …

It has come to my attention that if I could eat a hard boiled egg for every meal, I would. I won't, of course, because it is not ideal. But they are sooo good and my sleeve craves them. I do have one for breakfast every morning.

I was sleeved on 4/29/13 and I was just wondering what would happen if I drank something with carbonation. Not necessarily pop. I know the dr and nutritionist said not to. I was just curious what would happen.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a tasty alternative to Doritos or potato chips? I have found high protein ranch and nacho flavored protein chips but the cost was prohibitive. I was wondering if anyone has found some inexpensive ones?

Hi all - just wondering if any of you have had great success loosing lots of weight while eating regular foods but on a portion control plan ... Say regular food but only 1000- 1200 calories a day ? Yes, Proteins first, then veggies , then the carbs? Regular food - maybe one day you are on the run so you have 4 chicken nuggets with maybe 4 fries ..., because that's all that fits in the sleeve ..... Your family goes out and you have steak, veggies and 2 bites of dessert ? Any veterans eat like this and loose and keep it off ? Any newer people eat like this and loose ? I have been doing this and have 33 pounds in 12 weeks. I am thinking I am not loosing as fas…

I am now 4 weeks out from sleeve. I want a big salad and was wondering how long I should wait before I eat lettuce? I would love nothing more than a nice chicken salad loaded with veggies. Also, how long did y'all wait to have raw veggies? Thanks for the feedback.

I ran across a wonderful product while on amazon.com. Because it takes awhile to eat meals, I ordered this hot plate (after reading the reviews). It is a wonderful product. Just two minutes in the microwave and it keeps your plate hot while you eat! I love it, especially for eggs! http://www.amazon.com/Orka-A04100-Magma-Plate-Black/dp/B003K05OBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367248423&sr=8-1&keywords=orka+magma

Can coffee Cause Weight Gain? By The Daily Meal | Healthy Living Flickr/epSos.deGuess this means we'll be holding off on the daily cups of coffee from now on: A new study published in the Journal of Agricultural and food Chemistry has found that too muchcoffee can increase weight gain and fat cell retention. Researchers at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research and the University of Western Australia's School of Medicine and Pharmacology examined a compound called chlorogenic acid (CGA), found in coffee. Researchers were hoping that CGAs would specifically increase insulin sensitivity, reduce blood pressure, and decrease body fat than…

We've been friends for about 16 years and she knows about my plan to have this surgery. She is supportive of my decision and even wishes that we could do it together. However, whenever I'm around her I start having second thoughts and develop a really pessimistic attitude. It's the strangest thing. I hung out with her over the holiday and the next day I was second guessing myself and questioning my decision. I don't know if its because I see that her lifestyle isn't going to change and mine is (which will be really tough). She does tend to undermine my surgeons directions (he says I can't drink for a year, she says ill be fine in six months). I do intend to follow my doct…

Hi all - One year ago I was in the best shape of my life, exercising 6x a week, running, lifiting, dancing, yoga, you name it. I was still watching my carbs, tracking everything in my online tracker. Then I lost my job, broke up with my boyfriend, and went through a serious depression. 2012 was NOT my year. So, I stopped going to the gym, stopped tracking my food, stopped coming here for support, and just fell off a cliff. Looking at it in writing, it appears to have been more of a suicide than sabotage. At any rate, I want to get back to that feeling of strength and health. I was at 165 lbs a year ago, still 15 lbs shy of surgeon's goal. I am currently approx…

Has anyone had any issues with their customer service? I ordered a sample pack of nectar, and found out right away that the order was back ordered... I sent a few emails, and 10 days after my original email, I got a response explaining one flavor was on back order. No problem, they offered to ship everything but the one flavor, and then ship the last packet when it came in. That was 10 days ago... Still no nectar. The customer service guy I emailed seemed nice, took responsibility, etc., but I still haven't gotten my order. Has anyone had a similar experience?

This week, I just started spreading some peanut butter on my banana or apple to get a good ratio of protein, fats and carbs. Really tasty snack for before working out. My question is which brand or type is best to use? I am currently using jiffy because that is what is in the house. I know it is not the best choice. I also don't want to use a PB2 spread nor do I want to eat a low carb version of peanut butter (nasty!). I am pretty open to suggestions, but do want it to taste good and easy to spread. Also, I am maintaining and am pretty active daily with my workouts. Any suggestions?

I went for a relaxing massage the day before my surgery last week and the therapist explained to me how Water (tap and most bottled) can be modified and the molecules are too big for the cells in our body to absorb (you get the bloated feeling instead), and she suggested that I drink FUJI water because it might be so much better for me (until I get my home water tested...) Now I don't know if this is a bunch of hokum, but I've been splurging on the FUJI and it slides down nice and smooth. Got in 88 oz. today and only 5 days post op. Of course I will not keep spending that kind of $ on water, but I will look into a system or source that has the same effect. Any pee…

3 years ago I started eating completely raw vegan and lost 60 lbs in 3 ( correction, 4) months. I lost faster doing that than weight loss surgery. Go figure. Anyway, I'm really sick of meat. Like really really and dairy isn't really my thing either. Craving nuts, Beans, bananas etc. I do take a daily multi Vitamin. My body misses real, whole foods. I don't want to go completely raw, but maybe vegan. I remember eating large quantities though, with a normal stomach, and don't know that I could get all that my body needs. I do track on mfp though, and could do a trial and see how it goes I just want/need opinions. What do y'all think aside (gasp! But your protein!!!…
