I was rebanded on April 11th and also had a hernia repaired at the same time...my port was not replaced...I have been having severe pain under my left breast for almost a week now it started after going for a walk I called my DR a few days ago and was told it is normal because so much manipulation was done in that area ..Everytime i take a deep breath it hurts so bad i could cry ....i am not having trouble with food getting stuck at all i am eating small amounts and chewing well...fluids also go down fine ....i dont know what to do my dr just said to take it easy with excercise because it can take 4-6 weeks to completely heal

WOW you ALL are doing AWESOME hopefully i will have results like this it is very motivating when you have such great weight loss

good question i would love to know the average too gives us something to look forward too ...do you think starting weight makes a difference in weight loss amount too ?

Thank You everyone and I am considering going back to my therapist i just dont want to be put on any medication But i did just get back from a walk with my daughter (the first time i actually worked up a sweat in a LONG time ) Im gonna try and take a walk daily with her its just frustrating being so big again after getting down to were i felt good and i feel like it came off faster last time i think i lost almost 30lbs in the first month and i started out weighing less last time and everyone always says the bigger you are the more you will lose ......I guess this time around im really gonna have to work at it instead of it just coming off like it did last time

So in 2006 i started out at 321lbs got down to 220lbs in about a year after a couple years gained about 20-30lbs and it would fluctaute but i was terribly upset about it since i felt pretty good still and was happy then in may 2010 i got pregnant with my first child after being told i couldnt have kids because of my weight and pcos..I was so happy and enjoyed my pregnancy but had my band Fluid emptied completely per advice of my OB. WELLLLLLL I gained ALOT of weight and after over a year since the birth of my daughter have not lost 1 lb so in March 2012 i went to lapband dr ready to get lectured and found out i had a hiatal hernia and formed a pouch above my band and needed surgery so on april 11th i had a new band put in and they repaired my hernia ...now 2 1/2 weeks post op i am only down 13lbs and sooooo DEPRESSED:( i dont feel the band is working like it did before I am so hungry and when i eat my mushy foods i am eatting too much about 1 1/2 cups and my dr wants me to drink 2 shakes and 1 small meal a day and i havent been able too. every time i drink a Protein shake im STARVING so i am only having one for Breakfast. i go to the dietician on monday and am begging for a fill Has anyone else had similar outcomes I need help and advice

I had my band on 4/11 and i also have been hungry I used canned chicken and mix with mayo until mushy and that has helped ALOT and gave me energy

I had my surgery on 4/11 had my staples out on 4/16 and steri strips placed and yesterday one fell off and the incision opened up had to go to hospital because i could not get it to stay closed they cleaned it and used a skin glue and put more steri strips on it.....words of advice are be careful so that you sont rip incisions open because the nurses all told me not to lift my daughter for at least 2 weeks and then my dr said i could and i did and i think thats what caused it to rip open OUCH also if liquid is coming out you should def get it checked i have had this with other surgerys and it ended up it was infected

I am down 13lbs since my revision lapband surgery last wednesday YAY .....BUTTTTT I have not been able to stick to the protein shakes only, I had a little mashed potatoes and some chicken salad at seperate times....For some reason everytime i drink a protein shake I suddenly am STARVING but if i skip a shake and just drink water I'm fine ...anyone else have this issue ?

Did you have a new band put in or what do they do if it slips? I lost over 100lbs then when i got pregnant I gained it all back plus some 1 yr after having my daughter still hadnt lost so went to dr and he said i formed a pouch so had surgery last week to place a new band and now im scared iwont lose the weight i did before ...does anyone know if having a new one put in is kinda like starting over im so discouoraged that i wont really lose

I feel your pain. I had the lapband originally in 2006 lost a little over 100lbs then in May 2010 became pregnant I gained ALL my weight back plus a few pounds and have struggled since I gave birth to lose and could not lose 1lb. Finally in March went to the dr and found out i had formed a pocket above my band and had a new lapband put in last week I am so scared this time its not going to work

Hello everyone!!!! I see you all seem to be doing GREAT.. Sorry Ive been out of the loop for awhile I have been so busy. I do income taxes and its been hectic but I am starting to have more time on my hands Thank GOD!!! So i'm back and I am gonna try and get with it here. Ive missed all the support you all offer. Hello everyone I havent been on here in so long. I really missed this place LOL I have had so many ups and downs in the past few months that it has been hard to stay focused but Im trying still. I know I shouldve come here and posted I know it would have helped. Well anyway now I'm back haha I have now had 3 fills my first was 3cc's and my second and third were each 1cc, my last one being done last monday. I am more than halfway to my first mini goal. My tracker is indicating my second goal of weighing 200lbs. but my first goal is to lose 100lbs so I only have 37lbs left to get their I hope to be their by my one year mark. Well its nice to be back and I'll post more tomorrow its late and i need some sleep. Congrats to everyones weight losses Keep up the good work!!!

I had a tumor removed 4 and a half weeks after being banded. I didnt have a fill yet but my surgeon from the band Dr Kwon went in on the surgery to remove the tumor, he didnt do anything but stand by me during it, but I came through just fine. Good Luck to you
