Do You Drink Coffee, How Much Weight Have You Lost?

Hey so I love coffee and have read tons of articles that talk about how good it is for you and for weight loss and have read tons of articles on how bad it is for you and weight loss. We VSGers bodies are a bit different so I was wondering did/does any of you drink coffee in the first 6 months and if so how much did/have you lost.

I'm 9 weeks out, and drink regular coffee every day. I didn't have any the first 6 weeks after surgery, and I sure missed it. I'm 41 lbs down.

I drink 2 cups of regular coffee daily. I brew it in my keuring the night before let it chill in the fridge overnight add sugar free creamer and a scoop of vanilla Protein mix and I have a homemade iced coffee

I drink for Breakfast and my afternoon snack. I'm 9 months out and have been doing this since 6 weeks out I have lost 104 since surgery.

I throw coffee back. 2-3 cups a day with sugar and creamer. Started drinking it 4 weeks after surgery. Surgery date Jan 7th. Lost 110lbs as of last monday. Have not hit a stall yet.

i am 13 works post op. i am down 75 lbs, 10 of those were pre op. at about 2 months post op i began drinking one delicious strong cup of coffee with 2 T of half and half and a t of sugar. i do calculate these extra calories into my daily intake and it does give me 2 g p. i do enjoy that cup of coffee each morning and about one a week i also enjoy a cappuccino in a cafe .

I have had an iced vanilla latte (NOT sugar free) everyday for the last 20 months! I waited until I was healed (like a month to try my first one) I made my weight loss goal and have been maintaining for more than a year.

You are a WLS unicorn then.

I started drinking regular coffee one week after my surgery. Only one cup. I've given everything else up so I feel it couldn't hurt. Makes me feel normal. I'm 4 weeks post-op.

There are several brands of protein powder out there that make coffee or espresso powders, Click and Chike are two that come to mind. Click has about 12-15 g of protein per serving and is the equivalent of 2 shots of espresso! When I combine that with a chocolate protein powder and some SF Torani syrup, put it all in a clear plastic cold beverage cup from Starbucks with a lot of ice, I am smug in the deliciousness of something that is good for me and like 1000 calories less than what others are sucking down from 'bux. ^_^

Why? Starbucks tall vanilla latte made with skim milk w regular sugar has 150cals I drink

them on occasion. My everyday coffee is 90 cals I just make sure to track it all on MFP and stay within my limit. I can't do sugar free the chemicals in artificial sweeteners kill my throat. That being said I don't do much other sweet stuff.

They gave me a cup in the hospital, after surgery. I didn't drink it but did ask why, my dr was very lenient no restrictions.

I drink it maybe once a week for bathroom relief (caffinated and with creamer). Lol, it is a little miracle.
