I'm on "mushies" and made something actually worth taking a pic of:) 1/4 cup cottage cheese 1/4 cup Pasta sauce 1//4 cup shredded f/f mozzarella cheese 1-2tbs grated Parmesan Layer first 2 ingredients in microwave safe bowl. Heat for 20-30 seconds. Add mozzarella and heat addition 30 seconds or until cheese is melted. Add Parmesan. With the ingredients I used it was 150 calories and 13 grams of Protein and super yummy:)

This works on mushies, soft foods and regular diet...not liquids. 1/2 cup of Ricotta cheese 1 tbsp of cocoa powder Sweetener of your choice to taste (I used about 2 tsp.) Stir it up with a fork our if you have a magic bullet blend it to really get it smooth. What an awesome treat. You could also use sugar free jam of your coffee and make it strawberry, or any other flavor you prefer. Delish!!

I have ALL my pre-op stuff done as of last week. I start Protein shake diet on 10/4. How is everyone else doing getting their pre-op stuff scheduled?

I have had my band 11 months now. I've lost 58 lbs. My last fill was in Feb. Since Feb. I've only lost a couple of pounds, my loss seems to have flattend out. At one point I could eat Breakfast in the AM and wouldn't be hungry till lunch then I would eat lunch and then not hungry till dinner. This AM I ate 1 pack of oatmeal with a half of a chopped up apple in it, and a teaspoon of granola on top. This use to keep me full till lunch. But, for the last couple of days I am really hungry- belly growling by 10:15 (Breakfast around 8am), that is only a little over 2 hours. I am guessing even though I haven't lost much I am in need of another fill. I can't see my …

She also made a Denver omelet in a mug in the microwave using egg beaters, and you could sub out any toppings you want. Just so many good ideas!

I had my 5th fill today. There was a new person doing my fill, let me just say... I left in tears and in so much pain. She couldn't find my port, kept pushing and digging around. I felt these electrifying pains shoot from my port, down my side and to my hip! It's was horrifying! I kept telling her it hurt, she finally got someone else who finally found my port. I've never had this happen before. During my last fill I was told that during this fill I'd have the fluoroscopy done to check everything out, but ONCE again they said maybe next time. I have NOT had a X-ray since the day of surgery. Should I demand a X-ray next time? I'm concerned...

My doctor will need to sign this paperwork FAX it back to my insurance and then I start my official lap band journey!!! A month should I did not think I'd be a step closer on getting my surgery this step will be a bit longer but it's totally worth it I'll learn new eating habits and a better lifestyle before I get surgery which I am actually happy and excited for. Blood work in the morning then to my doctors to make a appointment for my results:)

Hey all I've heard that some people were given fills during their surgery, and I had considered talking to my surgeon about it as my insurance only covers everything until a certain date (hoping to be banded in Sept, date ends in october). I'm curious to those whove had the fill with the surgey if they felt that the healing process after was more difficult than those who had their fills at a later date? Anyone can chime in on this - including people who had fills later - would you have opted to have the first fill done during the surgery?

I drink alot of just plain water but sometimes I add mio just for some flavor, I bought 1 with electrolytes and honestly I can almost feel the difference immedietly but, well I guess I don't understand when or how much electrolytes are good or bad. I know that when your sick and losing alot of Fluid electrolytes are good but what if your not sick? Do electrolytes make you retain water? Do any of you know the pro's and cons of adding electrolytes? How much is enough? Thanks anyone that replies, I appreciate it!

So, super long story short...I had arthroscopic knee surgery 2 weeks ago for a torn meniscus that I've had for years, and finally fixed because I couldn't handle having my knee lock up on me all the time. Surgery and recovery went remarkably well, then suddenly I noticed a large lump in my calf. I showed it to my dr during physical therapy, and she told me to go to the ER right away. I got an ultrasound which showed I had deep vein thrombosis reaching all the way to my hip! They admitted me to the hospital, I had to stay there for 4 days until my blood was thin enough for me to be safe enough to go home. Now I have to take cumadin for the next 3 months! This drug is very …

I see my lap band surgeon June 6th and I bet he will want to do an unfill, so not looking forward to that since I'm in a green zone or happy place with my band. I'm down 50 pounds and only 30 from my first goal, so I guess I should be feeling more encouraged, but I've been having a hard time with my band the last couple of months. I got a pouch dilation back in the beginning of January, right after my fill up to 5cc (I have a 10 cc band). During that month, I could drink liquids but sometimes I felt like they weren't going down as easily a…
