So where is my port located, at the large incision or a small one on my left side. Is it different for everyone..I am 1 week post op and last night rolled to grab something on the night sand and a very sharp pain on my left side to my center , was it the port line...what could it be, scared

Its where they attached your port to your muscle, I have the same thing happen. It still smarts when I lay on my left side I got banded Jan. 17 2013. Doc said it should let up

My port took almost the whole 6wks to return back to normal. Not painful, just tender. Thought that was how I was going to live the rest of my life with my band.

The large incision is where the port is, but everyone's is in a different spot.

I'm the same way- I was banded this month though on the 7th

It will be sore for awhile. After surgery it bothered me when I slept on my side for several weeks. There is a lot of healing that needs to take place.
