Self Acceptance

today, just once accept yourself as is

right this very moment, you are who you are

every pound

every inch is you

i myself have a hard time dealing with looking in the mirror as i hate who i see, the size, the girth.

i feel the outside world is judging me for that appearance and judging me because i am obese/fat/overweight

seems that the ones who need to accept ourselves the most is ourselves.

LOL, do we haaaavvveee to be butt naked?!

Great post!

YES! Just so we can get a full view lol!

And I don't have far to come! It takes a long time to see yourself differently. Even now at times I see myself still at 256! Look for NSVs. Like getting into and out of the car, a booth in a restaurant. squeezing through spaces I did not think I would fit!

You are doing great girl!

Indee, like being able to wrap yourself in a normal size bath towel, or crossing your legs under your desk!!!

I agree wholeheartedly!! Like sitting on an airplane and not have to worry about being uncomfortable or making the person next to you feel that way. I miss riding roller coasters too!!! One day soon I pray!!

I've always been able to pick out something I liked about myself, but when I'm around others it's hard. I end up judging myself harder than anyone. I'm working on it though.

My nicknames at work are big girl and fluffy. One of my co workers, who use to tease me, got offended when I called myself big girl. I really got attached to that name. I have to catch myself now when I call myself these names, because I don't have that body anymore. I feels good to hear them say: girl, your are losing that weight.
