Hi, I know it's kind of a weird topic but it make sense if you are Pre-op like myself. I am getting all of my tests and paperwork squared away and will have my surgery by the end of next month. However, when I started the process, I noticed I have eaten out a lot more like I am trying to get it all in since I will be living a completely different lifestyle once surgery is complete! Has this happened to anyone? Thanks!

I just saw a Soda stream commercial and they now have Crystal Light flavors for it. I know not to drink soda anymore but would this be ok? Is carbonation ok for us to have occasionally? The machine just uses water, the Crystal Light flavoring, and a CO2 canister. Thanks.

So... is anyone else concerned with all the MSG in Protein powders. I know that we are all very health conscious at the moment, and I know that the protein is very necessary; but, this is probably a good reason to switch to "real" protein as soon as possible?? These contain MSG: Textured protein whey protein Whey protein concentrate Whey protein isolate Soy protein Soy protein concentrate Soy protein isolate Anything “protein” Anything “protein fortified” Has any of our advanced researchers looked into protein supplements that don't contain MSG? I'm on real foods now, but on occasion I don't feel like eating all my protein... I know that some people turn …

I am 1 week post op and was able to start my full liquids today. I was told I wouldn't be able to finish a container of yougurt or pudding but i was able to just fine. I don't know if some people can just eat more than others or if I should be concerned. It was also basically the only thing I've had today because I left my water at home and had an early drs appt...so maybe I was a little extra hungry??? Anyway I'm just curious ..otherwise I'm loving this new look on life!

All I wanted to do is roast a marshmallow and take a bite. Would that clogged my new stomach? I am so afraid to eat anything because I don't want to hurt myself. Any suggestions welcome.

I just purchased a box of these crackers .... or .... should I say "flackers" They are soooooooooooo Yummy ! made by Doctor in the Kitchen naturally sweet cinnamon & currants flax seed crackers raw, gluten free high in omega 3's, 4 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber low in carbs per serving. When my family is eating their junk food.... I grab a few of these flackers and put a slice of banana on top and pop it in my mouth. sooo good... now when I want savory, I buy their rosemary flavor and put a piece of microwaved softened brie cheese on it... oh sooo yummy too.

I don't like fish, seafood or eggs so I am struggling with what I should be eating (balanced). I usually have a small spinach salad with some pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries...I make a dressing of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I snack on raw fruit or yogurt or some goldfish crackers. I still have a protein shake in the morning and try to get in my water, some days are better then others. If anyone can offer any advice I would appreciate it. I have been stalled for months

First month I lost 5 lbs. i thought that was great for me considering my eating habits were atrocious and I all but killed my metabolism. I was only eating once a day, usually around 6 - 8 pm at night with 2 cups of coffee in the morning. Maybe once or twice a wk I would get a sandwich chips and soda at about 2 am. Then I started month 1 of the supv diet. I actually expected to gain weight the first month, while my metabolism was attempting to find itself, but miraculously, I lost the 5 lbs. now here I am 2 weeks into the 2nd month and I dont feel like I lost a…

The only thing I see it counting is calories which is great but I would much rather it figure out my proteins and stuff.

The Cereal marketing executives are at it again and have finally figured out that moms are no longer buying lucky charms for their children because of the recent healthy mind set being adopted. According to the following article, 40% of lucky charms cereal is eaten by adults: Breakfast staple when we first got married. We were young, carefree and impressionable, especially when we were both moderately overweight. That was before I went head over heals for Fiber One cereal (clearly an adult cereal, right?). Any thoughts on if this would good for the sleeve. my question applies to a person who is at least post month 6 in order to be past all healing. I used to eat Fiber One cereal all the time (read: every morning) pre op and just loved the original flavor with very little added sugar. I am wondering if there are any unintended side effects like too much swelling, etc. I would love to eat this again as a digestion regulator ( read: fancy smancy for guaranteed daily BM - lol). This would be as a replacement long term for the chia seed / miralax I take daily now, which, by the way, is a good digestion regulator also. One bowl provides approximately 57% daily fiber. Thanks all …
