Coffee after being sleeved
Coffee won't kill you!! Drink in moderation and you will be just fine. I was drinking 1/4 - 1/2 cup of coffee 2 weeks post op w surgeon approval. Just watch creamers etc that you add.

Pre-Op and Wedding
I had NO pre op diet except nothing to eat or drink from midnight before surgery. So I say eat light, u don't want to mess w your weight loss so far. Keep your business to yourself if you don't want everyone to know because at the end of the day it is your choice. Enjoy yourself!

Burning pain
Wondering If anyone else has experienced this?? I am 3 weeks post op. I was sleeping on my stomach, woke up and tried to roll over and got a sharp burning pain just to the left of my belly button. Hurt so much that I held my breath. Then it passed. Now it's a little sore. This happen to anyone? I live in New York and I'm on vacation in Virginia right now. Don't know if I should be really concerned???

When can you swim?
- Feeling like a dish rag
How long were you out of work for surgery? I am blessed to be able to be out 8 weeks. I'm 2 weeks post op today- Chronic tight chest/pressure feeling w/ band
Oh and don't be discouraged if you start putting weight back on after they unfill your band. I gained back about 20 lbs when they unfilled mine in march.- Chronic tight chest/pressure feeling w/ band
I was a revision on 7-17-13. The tightness In your chest may be anxiety? I never experienced any tightness feelings with my terrible band. I am so happy to have that crap out of my body!! You will LOVE your sleeve. Don't get me wrong the first few days were hell for me. I have Zero tolerance for pain so it was tough. I'm exactly 2 weeks post op and I feel great. Still some mild pain on my left side but its very minor. The sleeve doesn't feel like anything. No annoying ports that stink out. It's great!!- Friends are changing
I guess they really weren't true friends if they are hating on you now that you are shining!! Keep your head up. Out with the old and in with the new. Haters are gonna hate. F 'em!!- When can you swim?
I'm 2 weeks post op. some steri strips have fallen off and those incisions are closed. I have a dr appt tomorrow so I'll find out for sure. Just wondering if anyone on here knows. I'm trying to plan a trip to va beach and I wanna swim in the ocean!!- july 2013 sleevers
I'm about 20 minutes south of Syracuse had my surgery done at Upstate Medical University Community campus- Aug 6
I had the same exact thoughts that U are having. I went from lap band to sleeve on 7/17/13. I am 30 and a mom of 3. I was terrified leading up o surgery. I was making myself nuts. Thinking morbid thoughts like what my house would be like without me. CRAZINESS!! Then I just prayed about it and asked my husband if I was doing the right thing. I got reassurance from god and my husband. You just have to try to push the negative thoughts out of your mind and think positive thoughts about how slim and healthy u will be a year from now. You will be just fine!!- july 2013 sleevers
- I'm leaving in a couple hours for the Indy Airport
Good luck!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!- Alcohol post op
Thanks everybody!! It's not like I'm craving a drink. It would just be nice to have one. So many bbq's and parties this summer. Have to watch everyone eat and drink. Boo!! But I know it will be so worth it in the end!
