I love rotisserre chicken - dark meat. Boston Market is one of my favorite places to get it. Walmart comes 2nd. The dark meat is moist and I will take the skin off, cut the meat off the bones and weigh them on my food scale. What would be good for the side dishes because I usually eat cream spinach and loaded mashed potatoes. All ot this stuff is easy to eat. Hopefully its healthy and my tummy will appreciate the good food its getting. What do you think?

I am actually impressed with myself that I was able to almost completely avoid temptation while spending the day in N'awlins in the French Quarter today...I went with my cousin visiting from CT and some other family members...I avoided alcohol, even though the Hurricanes at Pat O's were a few steps away...avoided getting a daiquri even though every other adult had one in a go cup...at lunch while my companions had fried seafood po-boys, fries and onion rings, I had a small bowl of shrimp and andouille gumbo without rice and ate about 2/3 of it...didn't even have a cracker much less a slice of yummy French bread...went into Cafe DuMonde and watched most people downing deli…

I read an article that makes the statement that artificial sweeteners have been linked to increased waist circumference, increased appetite and increased vascular events. Does anyone have additional any information to back this up? I only add artificial sweetener now to coffee, but it is also in my Water Enhancer, which I drink a lot of every day. I will be weaning myself off of the water enhancers because of these health links. Please share what you know or have experience with.

I am almost 9 weeks out and I tried chicken for the third time tonight. Owwwwwwwww! I even cooked the chicken via crock pot to make sure the chicken was cooked to death and still hurt. I thought, for the first time, that I was going to throw the chicken up. Felt like bricks in my stomach. I can eat any other kind of meat, except chicken. That is so weird to me. Has anyone else had this problem? Just curious to find out if I'm the only odd duck.

** sorry for any misspelled words, autocorrect My question is... How many calories are you taking in a day and how much exercise and weight loss do you get throughout the week? I am currently 5 months out on the 20th and I eat around 900 calories a day or less and I have been at a weight loss stall for about 1 month. I did lose 1 pound today which makes my total 67.8 pounds lost since 2/20/13

I will be 3 weeks post op on Tuesday. I have been on liquids since surgery and can advance to soft solids on Tuesday. That means for Proteins i can have eggs, soft fish and ground meats. My husband is on his own diet and only drinks shakes for dinner. have been trying to wrap my brain around cooking for one. Then it came to me. I remembered seeing an egg pan somewhere and I thought it would be perfect for any portions of eggs or ground meats that I would be making for myself. Here is the link if anyone else is interested. Any one else used the egg pan? And did it help you not over portion your food? http://www.amazon.com/T-fal-A8570084-Specialty-Nonstick-Dishwasher/dp…

I am four weeks post surgery and I have already gained 2lbs however overall I have lost 26lbs. My doctor was upset with me and felt that I was cheating. I have been having trouble swallowing, lack of appetite and some other unrelated problems and was actually in the hospital for those other problems. Everyone has been very concerned about how little I eat. somedays 2 protein drinks was all I consumed. My average calories for at least 3 1/2 weeks were well under 500 and often 300-400. In the last 4 days I have turned that around and I am eating 3 meals and sometimes I snack. My calories have jumped to around 800 average. I was wondering how many calories is normal …

Hi! I'll be going to New York soon for a few days, and was wondering what easy travel foods ideas people have. I'm finding it a bit challenging, because I don't do well with the powdered Protein, so I won't be taking much of that. I found foil pouches of Spam Lite (disgusting, shameful, but ultimately digestible with 13 g of protein), and tuna salad, so I'm bringing some of them, and I imagine I'll find ready-to-drink shakes and hard-boiled eggs in convenience stores. Anybody have some mind-blowing suggestions?

The holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner. For those of you that don't know - its Islamic month where Muslims fast from eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset. For those of you that observe this month, how did you handle fasting your first year of being sleeved. I'm 6 months out and already have problems with my water/protein intake. I know people that are ill are exempt from the fasting part, but since I've been 12 years old I've been fasting each year.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever something like that as a meal....I am doing it..Making the changes I need to make to be successful..... I used to watch others in restaurants order chicken salad and think why? What a waste of space....Sure I ate salads all the time but not as a meal...... It went down well and I feel good..did not hurt me one little bit....Wow....The changes we make to become healthy!!!!
