Here's an excellent remedy my grandma used to cure bloating, nausea, burping... Dilute 1 teaspoon of ORGANIC orange blossom in one cup of boiling Water. Sweeten with low cal sugar as much as u like. Sip it in small coffee cups and enjoy the wonderful smell and taste. Believe me, it's a joy to the soul and the tummy. No calories at all. Natural. And it seems that it's a hunger suppressant. Give me ur feedback. PS: U can find orange blossom in the international sector of any big supermarket or try to pay a visit to a Lebanese grocery. A bottle may be expensive but it will last for months. Sent from my Galaxy Note II using VST

I tried searching this but did not find anything. Has anyone tried to make popsicles out of their favorite soda to get their soda fix? I have read that the carbonation escapes during the freezing process. I'm only 5 days out and the only thing I have been craving is a big ole glass of ice cold soda. (Diet soda of course) I don't plan on doing this right now, but if I can at least know that it is something I can do, the craving might lessen. Any thoughts??

I don't care for the store purchased broths. Does anyone have any recipes for a good beef-vegetable broth? I realize we can't eat the meat and veggies post op but was thinking about making some soup base and just getting rid of the solids for now. I never know what all seasonings and such to put in home made soup. HELP!! lol I guess some chicken broth ideas would be ok too.

Ok friends. I keep asking everyone what I can eat (people who haven't had the surgery) & am getting no where...so my sister says I should network with fellow bypass people. Here's my issue. I am week 2 on soft diet now & am trying to make semi normal food to satisfy me (mentally). I went to BJs & brought tilapia, flounder & Crab meat. Does anyone have any ideas for recipes I can make. You can only do so much with lemon & pepper. Any ideas would be helpful. <<Ash>> Pre Bypass: 247.2 Goal: 140

I love strawberry lemonade this time of year, but I just can't enjoy it as much after surgery. I came up with a recipe yesterday morning for a strawberry lemonade Protein smoothie. It was very refreshing and I can't wait to have it again! Recipe: (Makes 1-2 servings) 1 cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, stems removed 3/4 cup ice cubes 2 tsp. lemon zest 1-2 Tbs. Splenda or stevia (to taste) (Optional) 1 scoop Unflavored Protein powder (or flavor of your choice) Mix all in a food processor or blender and enjoy! I am pre-op tasting and trying new things. I OH we have a store called Krogers. I found a non-carbonated water called hint. No sugars, artificial flavorsM or sweetners. The one I got was blackberry. Kinda pricy at 1.49 each. Its water with a hint of blackberry. They had other flavors.

Last night I was so desperate for a cola, after months of water. I mixed 2/3 diet cola with 1/3 water and ice. It was heaven!!!!!!! Most of the gas had gone out of it with just a slight tingle left, but not enough to cause stomach problems. I know it sounds bad, but give it a try. After months of no cola or gas your taste buds forget what it's really like and it tastes great.

Hello all! I've tried every brand and flavor of Protein drinks and I cannot find one that doesn't taste like a Multivitamin...yuck! unjury, Pure Protein, the Gladiator etc. My friend sells Shakeology but before I bought some I wanted to see if any of you tried it yet. I still need to do some research, I know. This is getting very frustrating for me. I know I'm not getting all my protein in.
