  1. I'm 4 weeks post op monday and I experienced a gain and stall weeks 2-3.... this week, I dropped 5lbs. Stick with it and trust in the process. take progress pictures every week...it helps you see how far you have come, especially on the weeks the scale doesn't move!

  3. I use a protein powder called magnum. I recently discovered the best protein shake I have ever had: 1/2 cup of vanilla silk soy beverage, 1 scoop of magnum whey isolate vanilla protein powder, 1/3 banana, 1 teaspoon of peanut butterm I add my benefibre and biotin capsule to it as well and blend it. It makes just over 1/2 cup and has 35.5 grams of protein in it.
  4. My surgery was feb 4 and I didn't poop until the 8th...I didn't start farting until 3 days later.....and never burped once while I was there. I hope they let you leave soon soocer mom!!

  6. Thanks ladies! I think I found a good shake to get me through. Its a whey isolate protein powder with 30 grams of protein per scoop and then I use silk soy beverage for the added protein. Seems to be working!
  7. Libra lisa, I have had pcos since I was 18 and have always had a regular cycle. You should ask to be checked for pcos if you have other symptoms that point to it. I had to really push my doctor to check for it 10 years ago as there wasn't much info on it then. I've been blessed that my only symtoms are the cysts and of course, the weight gain.
  8. I suffer from hypothyroidism and pcos so I have a double hit...now I'm only 5 days post op but I am down 27lbs from jan 20 (date of pre op diet start). I'd say from my experience so far, it works.....if u don't stray from the guidlines....but like I said...I'm new to this!
  9. Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for lactose free ideas in the whole fluids and pureed stages? I'm really stuck as almost everything has dairy in it.
  10. I'm 4 days out and just realized I have an intolerance to lactose now... its making it so hard to get my protein in. I got some soy protein powder, but it is sooooo nasty when I add it to applesauce. I am trying soy milk right now and its sitting so far. Does anyone else have this intolerance and could offer tips to make it through the whole fluids stage with no dairy?
  11. I'm 4 days post-op and feeling pretty good....but everytime I eat, my nose drips. Does anyone know if this is normal?
