I am at 5.7cc I had to fight my doctor for .2cc since October 2012. He feels I am close to the green zone, but I know I am yellow. I still eat more than I should. I have days when I am really strict and stick with it but I still haven't lost any weight. I have been hovering around 170 since September. I don't know what to do. I feel the doctor isn't helping me to get to my goal weight. I have only lost 40 pounds and have 50 more to go.

2 full days down with 3 shakes per day and low gylcemic veggies! Wow, it has not been easy. Who knew a bowl of cooked cauliflower w/ Mrs. Dash could taste soooo wonderful. I am already down 5lb and it feels great. Following instructions like my life depends on it (kinda does, doesn't it?). I hope the next 12 days fly by.

Going to go discuss my options and plan with the doc on Thursday afternoon, it's such a relief to make this decision. . I have a strong need for this. 26. If you asked me within the first 6 weeks post-op, I would have told you that I positivity regret the surgery. I took an abnormally long time to heal. My super swollen stomach prevented me from eating or drinking for those 6 weeks. Three ER visits for IV fluids are what basically kept me ticking. Now, woohoo! I'm living up the sleeved life! I'm down 50 lbs so far. My surgery was Jan. 10, pre-op diet the 2 weeks prior to that. I had a 4-week stall that's finally broken. I'm thankful for this site so I knew to expect the stall. I'm about 40% to my goal! When I think of that way, I'm super pumped! ~Jenn

So when I had my surgery I had to go to my hospital do everything at my hospital. So i decided to wait till Jan 2012 to start prusing the RNY the insurance always changes at the beginning of the year. So in March I called a sister hospital in another city and asked who was the best surgeon there and they told me. I went to see this other surgeon which they called to verify my ins not once but twice. Told them everything I had to do. Which basically the same things. So I did and when…

I had my surgery in 2000. At that time, it was fairly new and my inspiration was Carne Wilson, believe it or not. My 13 year anniversary is April 28. I had no pre-op or post-op care but just studied and made sure I recognized that this was my rebirth and things needed to change. I did not want to take the surgery for granted. I did find myself (when I was in relationships) ignoring workouts and eating garbage. I DID gain 60 lbs back during the course of 8 years but in 2008, I wised up and started working out at the gym on top of my walking I had been doing every day at lunch. I also became a vegetarian because I needed that "whole" foods diet that would help me eliminate …

I was sleeved on 2/14 and had a post op visit with my doc today. I've lost 13 pounds since the day of surgery . They all say I'm doing great but I guess I just expected the weight to come off really quickly in the begining. I have been keeping a food diary online and when I told the doc my daily calories are around 800 he said that is why my weight loss is slow. He said I need to eat at least 1000 calories a day, up to 1200. I was just wondering how many calories everyone else is eating or what does your doctor recommend?

Then on Easter I can go to regular soft foods and start introducing foods little by little. I would love to know how often everyone eats. Is it 2oz every hour for everyone else?

Almost all my life I was considered chubby o little overweight (8 - 12 extra lbs), I became obese after my pregnancy, 10 yrs ago. I was never able to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight (160 lbs), I've been yoyoing since, and gaining more and more. Now I've decided to have this surgery as a last resort. I'm doing it with my hubby and one of my best friends, I'm excited, and looking forward to it. I want to be healthy for my girl and my husband (and myself!). I love them and want to be around many years. Life is precious! I have my friends and family's total support. I'm blessed and I'm happy. Here we go! ????

Hey I am new to the Sleeve community. I underwent my surgery on the 14th of March 2013. It was a life altering decision for me, as I have been obese all my life. Initially there was a great deal of trepidation and anxiety, as I didn't know what I had signed up for. I started preparing myself since January, and by the time I actually went for the procedure, I had already lost a substantial amount. I am so glad I made this decision now. I'm 8 days into the surgery and feel different already. Although I am on a clear liquid diet for the time being, I do not feel the urge or the inclination to eat. I would really like to hear peoples feedback and experiences. Any helpful sugg…
