Just got home from surgery! the pain was not too bad, it was manageable. the reason you feel so much pain is due to gas! but if you start walking around it seems to get better! my surgery was on Monday & I am already down 13 pounds. I weighed 263 & now i am down to 250 down even more but I won't know until next thursday when I get to see my doctor! What are you guys up too!? how are you guys feeling?!

I had my gastric bypass on 3-13-13. My weight on the 12 was 280' date=' current weight 5 days post op is 269. Pain was also minimal but that GAS is a mother. My doc sent me home on full liquids, was only on clear liquids the day after surgery. The only thing that pretty much sucks is that i have a drain coming out of my tummy :([/quote']

Ummm what do you mean by a drain? You're scaring me!

Yes a drainage! Lol dnt be scared not all doctors will leave it and it doesnt hurt. Its just there, every so often i have to empty it and measure how much fluids it sucked out. It sucks out all the blood and irrigation left behind after surgery.

When does it get removed?

When does it get removed?

As soon as you see your surgeon. But thats if he decides to leave it on. Some surgeons wont even put it. But if he does consider this good, because that way you can see if somethigs not right inside your tummy.

When does it get removed?

I had one and the doctor removed it the day I went home. It was such an odd feeling.
