My weight loss journey and the CGM struggles along the way

Hi everyone!
I’ve been on my weight loss journey for a while now, focusing on balanced eating, cutting back on sugar, and adding in daily walks and light strength training. The scale is moving in the right direction, my clothes fit better, and my energy’s way up!

I started using the Freestyle Libre 3 to track my glucose and fine-tune my diet, but lately I’ve been getting frustrating false low readings — sometimes up to 40 points off, both day and night. Abbott’s advice hasn’t solved it, so now I’m thinking about trying the Dexcom G7 for better accuracy.

Has anyone here switched from Libre 3 to Dexcom? I’d love to hear your experiences!

I was a "fragile" diabetic for over 20 years and finally went to the Dexcom 7, and it worked great. I was able to swim with it on, and sweat and it never came off. Peeling it off after the 10 days was always difficult but doable. I liked knowing where my glucose was. Since my Gastric Bypass, I have been off all insulin, diabetic meds and the GLP1, and my Hemoglobin A1c was 5.2. I haven't had the Dexcom on my body now for 13 weeks (since surgery) and no meds. It is something I have never ever thought would happen, but diabetes is in remission. I liked the Dexcom when I needed it, and forgot it was on a lot of the time. Good luck!

I also switched to the Libre 3 Plus and noticed it’s more reliable. I wear it because I used to get reactive hypoglycemia.

What’s crazy is that ever since I started taking 2.5 mg of tirzepatide weekly, the hypoglycemia is completely gone.
