  8. Do you realize how wrong he is?
  9. I'm eating well but I still have that damn sweet tooth. Its of course controllable but it's still there and I had one french fry yesterday off of my hubbies plate. Can I just blame it on mother's day and just forget about it and move on? I'm only seven weeks post op and already cheating with a French fry and sweets. I was 246 Dos and 210 as of last thursday.

  11. I'm cleared to eat regular foods in moderation. My husband and son went to a Chinese buffet and yes it was a waste of money for me but I ate in moderation and that is what a successful sleeve surgery should do. I didn't eat lo mein or rice because I used to love them so much. I followed the guidelines and ate proteins, veggies, carbs/fats if room. Don't be judging!!! This is a lifestyle change and not a diet. We've all been on diets and failed. I went to the buffet and felt fine afterward. I wouldn't recommend it as a rule but I felt it was a challenge I wanted to overcome. Eating foods is a trial by error. I just try to stay away from foods that I know I love because I can now.

  13. @biker- thanks fot the info. I didn't even think about the swelling issue. I threw up twice coffee and cottage cheese today. Was a little depressing. Thanks!
  14. Today was the worst day with emotion s. I'm crying, mad and sorry at all the same time. I am 2 weeks post op and so sad. All I do is lay down and feel sorry for myself. Not even getting my fluids in.
  15. If anyone says to my that sleeve was the easy way out I will tell them to go have 85% of their stomach cut out and live with the constant knowing that if I over stuff myself just an inch that I will throw up or be sick all night.
  16. I was sleeved on 3/25 and can't imagine going back to work right now. I still have to take 3 hours naps during the day.
  17. @cjsmom- u made me cry. U and I have the same body type. I was sleeved on 3/25 and loss 22 lbs as of yesterday. Struggling with the diet and need a little push. Thanks. Great job and good luck in your journey.
  18. @dat_sweetmami - know what u mean and going through the same thing. My fav is Chinese and I have the same fears. But we will get past this and we will be stronger for it. I wish I had a magic pill that would make it all better but I don't. Stay strong and focused. In my thoughts.
  19. Glad you're feeling good. I too was sleeved in jersey by dr. Smitz. Good luck.
  20. Beautiful post and thanks for sharing. I too hope I will learn to look in the meeting and love myself.
  21. I'm not a fish lover. I hope I can still survive this surgery without eating fish.
