Gastric Sleeve Newbie!

Hey I am new to the Sleeve community. I underwent my surgery on the 14th of March 2013. It was a life altering decision for me, as I have been obese all my life. Initially there was a great deal of trepidation and anxiety, as I didn't know what I had signed up for. I started preparing myself since January, and by the time I actually went for the procedure, I had already lost a substantial amount. I am so glad I made this decision now. I'm 8 days into the surgery and feel different already. Although I am on a clear liquid diet for the time being, I do not feel the urge or the inclination to eat. I would really like to hear peoples feedback and experiences. Any helpful suggestions, tips and ideas are most welcome!

Here's to hoping a healthier, smarter and fitter future for all the sleevers out there!

Blessings, joy and sparkling light!

Good Morning....

My surgery was on March 18th.....I have a continuous taste of plastic in my mouth

My sleeve was March 15 and I am doing well

Hi There; we are all where you are or was there short time ago. Let me give you a major piece of info that will help you down the road. Stay on the liquid for 3 months if you possibly can. It will prevent all the regrets that will come if you start to eattoo soon. Once you taste food the struggles begin for losing weight. So hang in there and stay away from the food.

Hi. I'm a newbie as well (March 18th) and everything is going well with the exception of the air bubbles. Congratulations everybody.

Hi, I just got a hiatal hernia repair and the sleeve. I'm feeling well. my only concern is drinking the Isoure. It has a horrible smell and leaves an after taste. Since I'm on clear liquids I don't know how to get my protein. Any suggestions
