I just had my revision surgery on June 30th from lap band to sleeve. I am at Bariatric Stage IV - eating pureed foods and drinking Protein drinks. I'm 40, I weighed 331 pounds. Passing 300 was not a good day. My biggest issue was beer. I liked my afternoon beers. My father in law is not doing well with his weight, in the hospital a lot for knees and other weight related issues. I'm not diving, I go snow boarding less. It was easy to blame "getting older" but I was realizing I wasn't the functional fat guy I used to be. I got surgery on June 18th. I've lost 56 pounds, 20 of that was pre surgery. I thought I'd miss the beer and caffeine, but I really miss not being able to chug water. I learned the hard way I can eat a lot more by cutting into small pieces and eating very slow. Yes they told me…

The center is on the third floor of a medical billing. when I showed up for the seminars each week I noticed I was the only person taking the stairs, the other started noticing me coming down the stairs, when they got off the elevator, yet they still took the elevator. My surgery was on the 9th,and I haven't experienced ANY nausea until today around 5am. I even have my anti nausea medication on board.. I wouldn't be complaining if I didn't have such a strong phobia of nausea and vomiting. I've been thrown into panic attacks all day. I have only thrown up twice in my life that I can remember, and I'm almost 30 years old. I have the anti nausea patch.. I know nothing is guaranteed but.. Is there anything out there that might be more promising? It's such a stupid problem... I hate having to deal with it.

Just wanted to say hello! I am 14 months post-op and new to this forum. After being overweight most of my adult life, I decided to have weight loss surgery. It was the best decision ever! On the day of surgery, I weighed 258 pounds. I currently weigh 138 pounds, which is 2 pounds below my final goal weight! I feel happy and healthy where I'm at, and I am trying to maintain my weight. I am pretty disciplined about eating properly and going to the gym, but have been struggling lately with slacking and snacking! Planning on doing a 5 day pouch test to help get back on track! Looking forward to sharing our successes and struggles! Glad to be here!

Hiya guys! I am really annoyed at the moment. I'm on my 4th week postop and really struggling with soft foods. A few days ago I tried some really we'll cooked stewed beef. It was very tender and stringy. I had one bite and got that awful stuck feeling, so I stopped, and called my doc office for advice. The nurse said no more beef and to go on liquids again for 2 days as I was probably swollen. So, for 2 days I did exactly as told. Today, I'm back on soft food and tried a small amount of egg salad (2 tiny bites)... And again stuck terribly....it took about 2 hours to pass and 4 papaya enzyme tablets. I'm feeling really clueless about what I'm doing wrong. It see…

I didn't know if it was the weight loss, or the exercise, or a combination of the two, but I now think it is the exercise........ I exercise six days a week now, and I sleep beautifully on those nights, but the one day a week I don't exercise, I find I don't fall asleep as easily.........INTERESTING !!!!!!!!!

Hey, just had my surgery on the 9th, so about 4 days ago. I'm doing well, however there is one annoying problem I face around 4am every single morning. I wake up with serious stomach cramping that I can only assume is gas pains. I get up and walk around for a while, take a gas-x chewable, and maybe a glass of milk (milk seems to help a little with stubborn cramping). And it subsides usually in about 10-15min. My nightly routine before sleep is taking a nexium, a gas-x pill, and some juice or milk. I usually get to bed between 11 and midnight. But I'd like to know if anyone else encounters this late night /early morning symptom and if anyone has found a way to preven…

I have read EVERYTHING available - I have watched literally every you tube Video.....and I still am nervous. I know I have to do this for my health - my children lost their father at age 45 due to a massive heart attack and I will not leave them without a fight.....Mostly I am concerned with 1) what if I don't lose weight 2) what if I lose it and then gain it all back???? Are my concerns valid? Did everyone/anyone else experience this???
