Ok, I'm a little embarrassed to ask this question, but my husband really wants to know, and I know you all will give us honest answers. How long is normal for a guy to last during sex? My husband is almost 40 and he's worried that he doesn't last very long. (I have no complaints, however, because he always satisfies me in other ways). I would also love to hear from the guys on this one.

Good Morning All! I have two quick questions - has anyone experienced changes to their cycle since they have been banded? I am 4 months post-op and my cycle time is getting shorter - I used to be a perfect 28 days - now I am 21 to 24 days in between cycle. I am not sure if it's because I turned 40 this year but it's definitely a change and it's unpredictable. My second question - has the water-weight during your period changed? (do you gain weight during your period? - meaning is it different than before the band?) I used to gain like 7 lbs - now I really don't gain but I don't lose anything for about 10 days... Thanks I appreciate any input! Christina

  4. I was just wondering how many of us have a family history of obesity. I have read about there being a so called "fat gene" and I just wonder if it's true. Almost everyone on my Mom's side is obese. Not just overweight, but severly obese. My Dad is overweight as well, but most of the people on his side don't have weight issues.

Ok so I'm wondering if I have enough to go into a doctor and ask about getting tested for PCOS. I do have diabetes in my family so I just want to make sure all my hormone levels are alright. I have very greasy hair and skin, acne, excess hair growth(facial and body), my periods (before BC) were always every 28 days but lasted a full seven days and they were pretty heavy and then sometimes they'd be really light. I'm not sure what they are now since I'm BC and all (will this affect if they need to do a blood test or can they take that into account?) I don't have darkening of the skin really though I do have a few random skin tags which I read can be common. I also have anx…

But for the first time since being banded I have gained weight. I think I have put on about 9 lbs, but it is right before TOM so it might be less. Basically I was too tight and was eating slider foods. Add to that I have had some very serious bad news from my mom ( really not comfortable elaborating further) and I slipped into some old emotional eating habits. I have also been tackling some anxiety issues. So I am calling myself out because I'm not going down this road again. I updated my ticker to reflect the gain :w00t: I've always posted my successes so I think it is only honest to post a set back too.

The following email was sent to my by a friend. I doublechecked on snopes.com the veracity - it is true. Although it is specific to the American female population, regardless of nation the message is the same. WHY WOMEN SHOULD VOTE This is the story of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers; they lived only 90 years ago. Remember, it was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote. <B><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4><SPAN lang=EN-GB style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'">

WTF? I know it's not a huge deal, but as heavy as it seems, it could go on for at least 2-3 days more. Maybe just one last hurrah before i hit menapause? lol, i will be turning 40 in about a week and maybe this is mother nature's little "happy birthday" to me? Did anybody else's cycle go way out of whack post op? I had surgery 8/13/03 spotted off and on till period 8/22 then fine for a week then spotting until yesterday and now I am having one of the heaviest periods I have ever had. I hate to be one of those people who think everything is related to the band but I am wondering if this might have to do with the stress of surgery or losing weight fast. I am debating calling the gyno but to be honest I will avoid doing that for as long as I can.

Okay - I've noticed the last couple of weeks (and no I'm not pregnant and it's not TOM) that my breasts have been killing me. I take off my bra and I feel like I'm breast feeding again :w00t:. look the same and yes feel the same , with the exception that they are so sore. I know they are getting smaller (I'm from a 44DDD to a 38DD or 38D depending on the bra). Is it due to the weightloss? :cool2: Hormone changes? Have any of you experienced any soreness or changes in "the girls" since losing weight?

Post revision surgery (had to take things easy), then my monthly visitor has to rear her ugly head. Well, anyway he is excited. 17. Hey girls, I'm a little too embarrassed to ask this anywhere else and I don't even know if it's appropriate for the forums, but I need to know: When were you able to be "on top" during sex? My thighs have been too big ever since I've been with my fiance so I have no gauge of how much I'd need to lose before I can try again. I used to think I was the only one with some of these problems, but since I joined the forums, I realize many of my issues aren't just me! Any insight or other possible positions until the weight is gone would be appreciated.

My husband, who is very absent minded, and who really has taken me for granted for years, didn't even get me a birthday card this year. He said that he just didn't think to go buy another card, even when he couldn't find where he put those he had already bought. For the first time since banding, I went shoe shopping 2 weeks ago. Down over 100lbs, and I heard others mention losing a size or two--or the width, etc. My feet LOOK skinnier to me, but in the store, 11W is still what I wear. 11's were too tight, and I couldn't get my foot into a 10W. The band has given me back my life in a way that has made me extremely happy. I know I wouldn't have the wonderful health conscience bf that I have now if I hadn't lost all the weight. My life for several years before I lost the weight was empty and lonely. I just wanted to say I am glad that we have a place that we can come and feel comfortable sharing things that we can't share with people we know in real life.
