Hello fellow sleevers. I was sleeved 1/31/17 I am so excited to be on the losers bench. I now realize that you really have to be mentally prepared for this journey and it is very hard. I first decided to get the sleeve because I failed at so many diets. Then after I went thru all The blood work I found out I had sleep apena, pre diabetic and high blood pressure. At that moment I knew it was time to change my life forever. I am so grateful to have took that step to start my journey on healthier me. I go to my post op appointment Wednesday and I can not wait to get on full liquids. I haven't had any complications as of yet. (Thank u Jesus ) I just still feel very hungry a…

Has anybody tried flavorless protien? I just can't stand how a lot of the protien drinks taste. I figured maybe I could just add it to the pureed foods I'm able to eat. I'm struggling to get my protien in. I can't even manage 60g. I'm about 24 days out from sleeve surgery.

I'm going crazy here. I moved on to soft foods since everyone says that is what made them feel "full". So I made myself a soft scrambled egg. I didn't measure it because it is one regular-sized egg. I was eating way more than that when I was on Protein shakes and bone broth and cream Soups. So now, one third of the way through this stupid egg, I feel the restriction. But I'm still hungry. I don't think this is "head hunger". I have had that, when I was bored and wanted to snack. I would have to distract myself and move on. But these past few days I swear I am actually hungry again. Is anyone else going through this, where they feel a restriction, and it would be p…

Okay so this may sound crazy but i am 9 days post op. I went into surgery expecting regularly incisions, and when i woke up i only had one through my belly which i was confused as well as ecstatic! But i dont know if this is healing correctly or if its scabbing right or if is infection (no puss no ooze, just very hard scabs which causes pain when i sit down) i was just wondering if anyone has had a single incision through the navel and if so, is this normal? Does anyone know if I can take Excedrin migraine? I've had chronic migraines (more headache days than headache free days) and I've had one building up all day. Prior to surgery I had an ulcer so I wasn't able to take it (although I did anyway a few times) but I didn't get any that I couldn't handle.... This one is getting bad and I'm starting to lose vision in my right eye. Sometimes when they get this bad I've had to be hospitalized. I don't want to hurt my sleeve or risk bleeding but I can't afford to be hospitalized right now either. Help! What do I do? I should mention, I'm only two weeks out... When your surgeon signs your Plusheez. I love it and I'm feeling great. 5 days post op and no issues so far and I have been able to use the bathroom both ways. Surgery went well. Had gas pain for about an hour on and off but pain free thereafter. Drinking liquids well and i feel very fortunate. Looking forward to the changes. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

I am 2 months post-op and am having throat issues. I am hoarse, have no range in my voice, and feel like there's a lump in my throat. I have been tested for strep, thrush, etc and all are negative. I am waiting on ENT appointment to run a light down further into my throat, but thought others may have had similar experience. I thought maybe Gerd/reflux but am taking Nexium daily already. Any ideas or thoughts?

I'd never heard of these things before, but a discussion about them popped up on another forum I'm on, and I did some research and I bought one today at Walmart. If you haven't heard of it, it's an electric pressure cooker with all sorts of settings and ways to make different foods. For my inaugural meal I decided to make some RIBS. High Protein, zero carbs, not as low in fat as I'd like but not awful. I bought some "country style ribs" at Aldi, basically thick-cut boneless ribs. Made them in the cooker for 25 minutes, put a little sauce on and finished in the oven for 15 minutes. Holy cow delicious! There were two larger ones and two smaller ones in the package,…

I was sleeved December 13th I took six weeks off from work just because I was so weak because my calorie intake was so low and I was just trying to adjust you my new stomach and went back to work day before yesterday and I work in an emergency room I'm so exhausted after working 12 hrs I feel like I'm going to have to find some other kind of employment because me consuming about 800 calories and probably burning those 800 calories within the first six hours feels like it's killing me! I've been home for about an hr and I feel like I'm gonna faint. Plz anyone tell me does it ever get better! I'm having a lot of regret and feeling discouraged I'm starting to regret my surg…

Hi Everyone, I've found I love the chewy (not chewable) Vitamins offered by Bariatric Advantage! This includes the multi Vitamin, calcium, & Iron. Wondering if anyone else is doing the same but may know where to get them cheaper or any other manufacturers that taste the same but at a better price? The vitamin potency needs to be the same not looking to comprise that for price but wondering if there were options? Thx! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hello everyone. I was sleeved on 12/20 so I am roughly a little over 6 weeks since my surgery and down 25lbs but I have hit a stall. I have hit this stall and my mind is thinking I am eating too much. I just switched to the transition part of my diet and I am afraid to try new things and adding things. What did everyone do during their stall? I am working out 4-5 days a week for 45-hour. Just shy of getting all my fluids but I do get all my protein. Sent from my VS986 using the BariatricPal App

I'm almost 4 weeks out & my diet plan is a bit more loose in comparison to what I see others follow. My nutritionist allows eat diet plan to last anywhere from 7-14 days before advancing which leaves me to advance as tolerated. I just started introducing soft foods in my diet, but I can't help but ask, how will I know I'm advancing too quickly? I don't experience pain, and get this, I also don't ever feel full!! I eat a few bites, then I'm no longer interested in the food! I've never felt full, only no longer interested after a few bites, and I also don't feel any pain with the soft food. Is there a sure way of knowing I'm advancing too quickly? Is there a sure fi…

So I'm 12 days post op. I don't get the feeling of being full. I just listen to my body. My heart starts pounding little faster so I stop eating. I'm afraid I'm going to stretch out my stomach or hurt my stitches. I'm healthy other then being overweight. Also I'm able to drink more then just sip. I found this out by taking a antibiotic. The pill was relatively big and I need a lot of Water to get it down. I feel think I'm being phyiced out from having the lap band for so long. Feeling like I'm going to take a drink and it get stuck or take forever to go down. With the sleeve it just goes down. No problems but I cant feel the feeling of being full like I feel like I could …

Hi all. I am officially 8 weeks post op tomm. So my 2 month pic is one day premature , lol. I am currently 186 lbs today. Surgery was 12/5/16 and surgery weight was 219 lbs. soooo, I am currently 33 lbs down since surgery. My preop weight was 242lbs....so total weight loss since July 2016 is 56 lbs , yay. So, this is what 186 lbs looks like on me. Not perfect but I'm 36 lbs away from my goal weight of 150 lbs. I am still a work in progress but I'm proud of my progress this far.

Hi. A little background first. I am 10 days post op and down 13 lbs since the day of surgery on 1/26 and weighing at home on 1/29. Obviously, I am happy with a 13 lb loss but I've loss nothing since. I'm hoping dmaybe that was the water weight I was holding. I feel like I'm able to drink more and maybe it's adding to me not weighing less. Plus I gave in to my pickle juice craving but don't feel bloated from that at all. Do you guys have a SET eating and drinking schedule to go by? If so could you share how you devide up the day? Do you write every single thing down? Amy☆☆☆

So I'm 6 weeks post and really really dislike Protein shakes. Always have. I've found 2 favorite go-to that I have daily to get in at least 30 grams protein and actually love them. First is sugar free pistachio pudding made with fairlife milk and GENEPRO. It mixes very well since mix cold (I did not like Protein powder mixed in SF Jello personally) and makes 4 servings which I estimate I get 30-35 grams from one per day. Find your favorite flavor! Second is fage plain Greek yogurt with a scoop of Click Brand Mocha protein powder which gives me about 35 grams. I either have as a meal or a snack depending on the day. Who has decided to keep a journal of their pre and post surgery journey (for want of a better word)? I didn't but wish I had now as I have the memory of a flea. I never bothered writing down how much I lost in each month or dates as to when I hit goals because at that time I felt it didn't matter. My focus was on reaching my goal, not how fast or slow I did it. Do you note everything down? Do you write it in a book or do you keep it online? Why is it important to you ? Is it for your eyes only or do you share it with anyone else? Kate

I'm still having trouble with this!! I opted for the sleeve bc I was never a "sweets", carb person but I could EAT...alot. a "volumous" eater, I used to joke. lol however, its not funny anymore... although I do eat healthily, avoiding carby, doughy, sweety (anything I basically should be). I feel that I am able to eat TOO much of anything.. I have a food scale & containers w measurements of what I should be eating, but I have yet to put them to use.. I rem learning that if you "eat properly" (we all know Protein 1st) the sleeve will do its job! I just feel like I am able to consume too much @ one sitting, therefore my calories are prob through the roof. what I…

Hello everyone. I'm looking for advice/ideas on this issue and also wondering if anyone else has dealt with it after surgery. I'm 10 weeks post-op. About a week and 1/2 ago, I started getting dizzy spells, usually upon standing. I could be sitting and stand up (slowly) or I could be lying down and then stand up when it happens. It has also happened a couple of times when I have already been standing up for awhile. Like earlier today, I was doing dishes in the kitchen and all of a sudden I got very dizzy and had to go sit down. It happens everyday, at least a couple times a day, sometimes more. I am currently getting about 900 calories a day. I eat 3 main meal…

Help! I have no idea what I'm doing. I went to my 2 week post op appt. Everything is going well. I have been moved onto stage 3 pureed food. I was told I could have scrambled eggs, yogert, refried Beans, pureed chicken, cottage cheese ECT. My problem is that's all I was told. Try a tablespoon at a time and 30 mins later have half a Protein shake. If I do that though I will be missing out on my protein. How do I add these new foods and still get my protein? Sorry if I sound uneducated. I feel like I haven't been given enough info. I even left a message with my Drs office. The nurse called back and just said the same stuff I already was told. Does anyone understand what I'm…
