I'm sorry if you guys are getting tired of me but I spoke with my doctor and clinic on conference call and instead of making me wait 3 months they only want me to wait 1 month. And it all works out in my favor. I am going to California from 12/10-12/26. I meet with the psychiatrist 12/9 and surgery is 12/27. I know my last post was me sounding bratty but to actually read everyone's thoughts and speak with my doctors it makes sense to wait and not only that I get to see my family and enjoy myself before surgery. Thanks for reading and sorry for being annoying. Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App

Was anyone diagnosis with inflammation or inflamed in your stomach. My doctor said I had a lot. and if they did surgery right now with it like that it would be like cutting tissue paper with scissors. He gave me mediation for it but I'm kind of nervous that it might not be well when I have my surgery next month. He told me not to take aspirins, coffee or tea or Advil. I haven't' but I was just wondering if any of ya'll have had it and your doing fine.

Today I will be going to do my drug screen for insurance... I can pass a urine test but in regards to thc in my blood from months back I will fail. If it were legal here for medicinal purposes I wouldnt have an issue but it is not. My question to everyone or anyone have you been turned down because of your drug screen? Met with my doctor and he told me he is clearing for surgery and was calling the surgeon to tell him. Not even a couple of hours later I got a call from the clinic stating that my surgery is cancelled because my doctor does not feel right with me doing it what hurts the most is that he shook my hand and told me good luck on my surgery on Monday. Now they want to push it back by 3 months. Lol as I sit here crying I just can't wrap my head around it. I guess it is what it is. The clinic said they are talking with the surgeon tomorrow since ivr quit my job that caused me to pass out due to an extreme anxiety attack. I'm hopeless now. I give up on this journey and next year …

I am getting my surgery on 9/13 and I am a little nervous and excited. I see my surgeon on 9/7 so I guess I will ask most of my questions at that time. I was wondering if anyone has traveled on an airplane less than a month after surgery? I have a trip planned on 10/11 and I am not even sure how I will be felling by then and what I will be able to eat at that time; will I still be on pureed foods? I was also wondering if all patients have to be on a liquid diet before surgery? I know I am asking so many questions, just not sure what to expect. Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me..

Has anyone used these? I bought this brand for my pre op diet in the flavors cinnamon swirl and mint chocolate chip, my requirements for pre op had to be a whey protein that had less than 5 carbohydrates which these both fall under those category but does anyone have personally experience with this brand, ive seen it rated 9 out of 10 everywhere but I'm curious how it taste cause i honestly hate protein shakes i don't like the grittiness which i know is bound to be in every protein powder because its the actual powder, but I'm not looking forward to this pre op diet because of that haha

How many of us have had food funerals? My pre op diet starts December 2nd so I have about 2 weeks left and mentally I'm like oh no I need to eat all my favorite foods! Chinese, Chipotle, Pizza etc.... but my gut is telling me don't do it! So I'm curious how many people felt that way before that they needed to get all their favorites in before pre op and before this life change, and how many people actually gave in and ate those foods? Like yesterday I wasn't even hungry but I passed a chipotle and was like should I go in and get some?! I might never be able to again! and then I was like that is pathetic Marina don't think like that, your not even hungry, so don't eat! so …

I go to my first consult with the surgeon next Tuesday. I'm nervous that even with my comorbidies he'll say no. I've struggle with between 65-100 lbs of extra weight since 2006. Lost most gained it back lost it again. In 2013 I went on an insulin pump because medication just wasn't helping and have been struggling since then to even loss 15 lbs. I just want to be healthy and was recommended by the np that I see for weight management and my endocrinologist both. Thirty is looming and my five year old deserves to have a mom that can keep up with her and not be exhausted 24/7. 5'7'' HW: 255. CW : 240. GW:145-160. My pcp won't clear me for surgery that is on the 21st I did my pre-op with him and he said everything was okay. I had a really bad anxiety attack about 3 weeks ago and passed out. We adjusted my meds and he said I was good to go. Now he's saying he won't clear me. I'm meeting with him today. I don't even know what to say to him to explain that I'm really ready for surgery and I'm taking my meds. Ugh. Has anyone death with this before? Surgery is literally 5 days away. He wrote a doctor's note for me for my job to reduce my hours and they couldn't accommodate so I was let go. I'm getting everything under control and don't feel so much anxiety. I am just bawling my eyes out…

I started a group called "December 2016 sleevers" some are able to join with no issue but majority it is telling them that they can't and that they need a password! I made the group open and available to anyone can someone tell me why it's doing that? This was my first group and I'm only on this site for about a week and a half so I'm still learning did I do something wrong that it's asking some people for a password and some can just join? Just kind of want to know what I can and can't have. My surgeons office only gave me a meal plan day and I'm kind of one to want to follow it completely to the tea, but it's impossible right now because most of the things I can't get until this weekend. I've been pretty much refuse to eat which I know is not the smartest. But the office is close so I can't call and I just don't know what to do!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm having reversal from band to RNY on 22nd Nov. I start the milk diet on Monday and am allowed 3 pints of milk and 2 yogurts daily. The problem is that I hate (with a vengeance) yogurt. Hello everyone: I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or tell me about there personal experiences with having sleep apnea and undergoing WLS? The reason I ask is because I have severe obstructive sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP machine for about a year now. I usually have trouble sleeping flat on my back so I have to sleep sitting up a bit reclined. I keep worrying that during surgery I may stop breathing or that the anesthesia will make me sleep to the point that I don't wake up again. Because I already have issues with breathing while sleeping, I worry that being put under could be a big risk and that things might be complicated somehow. Am I…

I have heard so many different explanations such as the following: Losing 100 pounds. Being in the 100's. Hitting one year post op. Which of these is true?! What Is Onederland?! Whatever it is...I want to be there! What did it feel like getting to Onederland for you and how long did it take (if it isn't the 1 year post op thing)?

Hello everyone! I'm in the Philadelphia PA area. Went to an information session about bariatric surgery back in June 2016 and decided on the SLEEVE. Wasn't actually sure if I would qualify at 220lbs-but to my amazement and delight, I met the BMI minimum threshold of 40 (guess being short worked to my advantage this time! LOL). Have completed almost all of my pre-approval appointments-just gotta get 1 more test/procedure then meet with Pysch dr before seeing my surgeon again and hopefully getting a surgery date. How many people in this group that had some sort of bariatric surgery went in needing to lose more than 50 lbs but less than 100lbs? My goal is to lose about 65-7…

Surgery is scheduled in Charlotte NC on Monday. I am a little nervous but mostly excited. I turned 50 in October and this is a present to me after taking care of everyone else my entire life. Insurance approved me on the the 3rd, surgeons office called me that day to schedule and I started the pre-op diet the next day. I like that way it worked out because I didn't have a lot of time to think about it all. The diet was rough the first two days but now it's not bad at all. 3 Protein shakes a day and broth or sugar free Jello to fill in between meals. I really thought I would be starving and moody but I really haven't been. Just really excited about surgery. My…

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda nervous! My NUT cleared me to start eating a regular diet and I'm so nervous I'm gonna mess it up. I track my food, which to this point has been very simple. I'm not afraid I'll go back to bad habits, but I'm afraid I won't be eating the right things. Not enough protein, to many carbs, to frequently, not eating enough, etc...I know it'll take some getting used to, but it's scary! I also have fears of never getting out of these clothes, almost 100lbs down and besides going down 1 or 2 pant sizes, all my clothes still fit. Its very depressing. This journey has been very difficult mentally. Currently I've lost 45lbs since surgery on Oct 5th, down to…

So I was approved for surgery last week, I have an appointment with my surgeon next Monday. I know my surgeon coordinator told me after that appointment they'll call me with a date for surgery and I'll need to start my pre op diet. Just wanted to see if aside from Protein shakes, Vitamins, chicken broth, sugar free Jello, Sugar Free Popsicles, and probably some decaf tea if there is anything else I should be trying to stock up on. I figure between the two weeks pre-op diet and two weeks after surgery that mainly consists of these items I should be good, but I just want to check in with some veterans who've been there, done that. Also, any suggestions on what to brin…
