  1. @@alysia.rush How's everything? Did you get your surgery? Sent from my N9518 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Okay. I just changed my insurance to Molina like 20 minutes ago. What are the steps I need to take? I've seen the Molina Healthcare bariatric request online. It says stage 2 approval though. Should I make an appointment with my pcp and go over it? Or should I contact UW first? I'm sorry ladies. Also. The only thing I really have is PCOS and my bmi is 47. So idk if I would qualify with MOLINA. Amerigroup denied me. I appreciate all the replies, I truly do. Ive been wanting this since I was 17. I'm about to be 25 November 18th and I just want to be healthy and happy. I've tried everything. The more information I can get the better. ❤❤ Sent from my N9518 using the BariatricPal App

  4. I have amerigroup. With medicaid. I live in Tacoma, Washington. I don't know if my doctor is lazy and isn't really sending in referrals for me. But I only know of one hospital that will accept Medicaid for weight loss surgery. I've seen so many ladies on here saying they been approved and already on their journey starting December and it just frustrates me because I've been wanting this since I was 17. I am almost 25 and this would be the best present ever. My doctor is trying to say amerigroup said it has to be medically necessary. I have pcos and my bmi matches the number for surgery. I know I may not make sense. Maybe it's my doctor. IDK. Does anyone have any advice for me? Any information. Please help.
  5. Lol gotta come up with 4K first, blah ????
  6. Yeah I've gotten that letter in the mail UW was willing to work with me then told me to ask my doctor for a referral, my doctor had said that the referral lady said amerigroup said if it is was medically necessary and I'm assuming my dr told them no. Freaking stupid. My bmi is at the point where Medicaid would approve it and idk if Pcos is a co morbidity but yeah. I probably don't make sense. But honestly wanna give up
  7. I live in Tacoma. Honestly I think my doctor doesn't support stuff like that, maybe that's why she's acting like that. I've been trying and trying. I'm 24 years old and I just want to live my life finally, it sucks.. Good luck tomorrow I hope it goes smoothly.
  8. @@alysia.rush Are you serious? I've been trying to get my doctor to work with me in getting me the gastric sleeve at UW. And they keep emailing me either saying amerigroup won't cover it or it's not medically necessary. I have the right bmi to have surgery and have pcos. So in my mind I think they didn't actually call. I really want to switch doctors so bad. I've been trying to get the sleeve and been getting knocked down each time. I wish I could send you the screen shots from my doctors office. My only hope is probably save and go to Mexico....
  9. I've call about everywhere in Washington state if they accept medicaid. Besides UW. and im stuck been a year and idk anymore.
  10. @@yogachick accepts medicaid? At what hospital.
  11. I went to a seminar last night in kirkland, Washington at evergreen hospital. Now what? I need to find a surgeon there that accepts medicaid amerigroup does anyone know any that will?
  12. I got drop from tricare. So im on medicaid /:
  13. Hello I was wondering if anyone with medicaid or without was sleeved at evergreen hospital in Kirkland, WA how was the process? Your experience. Also how do u think I should approach my pcp about bariatric surgery? Im nervous. And I've talked to her 2 years ago about my weight all she said was do a low carb diet etc but I've tried everything imaginable! Atkins hcg drops garncia cambogia weight loss teas juicing every weight loss pill. Etc I just hate being judged. I know bariatric surgery isnt a magic pill but a tool. Stats: Hw: 265 5'3 Bmi: 46 ish? Pcos: hard to lose weight, darken skin in different areas, hair, loss of menstruation its been almost 3 years since I had a cycle .. I don't feel like a woman. I just really want to have my darn cycle. To be healthy. etc. Also feel like I have anxiety and lower back pain badly. And had asthma in middle school. Still feel loss of breath here and there. Sorry for the long and multiple posts. I think the mobile version of this app sucks cuz I cant see every post or thread so yeah. My apologies.
  14. @bittersweet: I was dropped from tricare because I stopped going to school. And im 23. The chick on mchord said I couldn't enroll. @ mexico isnt an option at the moment. Blerdgirl: idk if pcos would be a co morbitie and asthma. Im 23. 265. Which I believe is 46 bmi. Standing at 5'3 correct me if I'm wrong. But I called Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA she said they accept Medicaid. So we shall see!
