    I had to see my therapist 4 times to get clearance! I'm glad I did though, my mindset was totally different after the 4th visit! I think what held me back was after she asked me why I wanted the surgery I told her for my kids..... She said that was a good start but I needed to do it for myself...... 4 visits later I have a whole new perspective and so glad she took the time to help me get my head straight.     My nutritionist was just talking about this yesterday... She said I'd probably never drink alcohol again because my stomach wouldn't break it down the same and it would be horrible for my liver with that being said- we're adults and if I must have a drink wait at least 6 months post op so the new stomach can heal.
