  10. I so identify with your post! That is so me. My life has been consumed by starting the next diet, screwing it up, and then figuring out when to start the next diet after that...ever since the age of 13 (I'm now 49)...yikes! My surgery is Jan. 9 and I had my first session with the nutritionist today. I am super psyched about my surgery and the tool that I'm going to have to help me become the person I want to be. I found your post very inspiring and I hope to be like you in three years. So for now, I'm having a few food funerals of my own because I just feel like it. Interestingly, as was eating a Wendy's double bacon cheeseburger yesterday (had a HUGE craving), I got about half way through and found it just didn't taste as good as I expected it to. Huh. Go figure. Don't really care if I eat another one any time soon (which is a good thing...lol). Same thing happened last weekend when I was eating out at a Mexican restaurant with my hubby. I was planning a BIG funeral for chili rellenos and after eating a few bites, it just wasn't all that great. I was like...ok...done with that. It's almost like my brain knows a big life change is coming and is already moving in the right direction. Weird, but I'll take it. Now...if that would only happen with the wretched french fries!!!

  17. Hi smills! I have a surgery date of Jan. 9, so I'm not too far behind you. My pre op appt is Dec. 28. Need to set up my psych evaluation and nutrition counseling. I'm excited, but a little nervous too. Doing lots of reading and research.
