About a year ago I bought a sewing machine, something I had NO experience with before then. I bought it on a whim really, but since have enjoyed teaching myself how to make simple things like bags, cushion covers etc. ANYWAY, I had this grand idea that as my clothes get too big I would make them into smaller clothes that I could still wear. So I have one week of vacation left at work and was thinking of going to Cuba or jamaica. Either this September or October But I know it's hurricain season so there is some chance that one might trouble my trip. Or I was thinking about maybe in December when the hurricain season down and it will be also my 40th BDay. Except I'm scare most of my summer clothes won't fit anymore by then cause of my sleeve (summer clothes hard to come by in canada around that date besides bikini.) In about a month a close cousin of mine is getting married. I actually found a dress that I like and that looks good on me. So now I have no idea what kind of purse to wear. Just having one of those days when I feel so depresswd for no real reason. Have to try really hard to keep it together at work, but had to take a few breaks tp go to the bathroom for a cry break. Have no desire to eat really. And just feeling so lonely. Also found out my almost ex husband is dating someone. We haven't even started any divorce processes yet and that just ripped me up inside. Following my divorce I took a year to make sure I was emotionally clean before beginning to date. Two years ago when I was 300 pounds I had some success with Match.com. I took a break from dating following the surgery. I decided to try eHarmony in January. Now that I am 80 pounds lighter I have had even more success. Just being more attractive helps. I think it has done great things for my confidence. Most women in my age/target demographic group are health conscious. They don't want to date a guy who is pre-diabetic. So it looks like I'll be having my surgery at the end of December in Tijuana, but I'd also like to make the most of my time while I'm in the States as well. As I live in Japan, my options are so much more limited here in terms of just about everything, and I'd like to stock up on supplies in either Los Angeles or San Diego. I started a new job and I am really enjoying it. Great commute, nice people, fairly low stress work. But.....there is always junk food!!!! There is a table close to my cubicle that is the community table where people put food. In the three weeks I've been here there has been pizza three times, a giant chocolate cake, a box full of mini bags of chips, donuts, Cookies, bagels, cup cakes and bags of microwave popcorn. It has been so hard not to chow down on all these slider foods but I've only had one mini bag of veggie straws. Everyone is like come on have some. Other than that I am really liking the new job (just wish it paid a little more)

My horse is 25 (old) so I am borrowing a young Arab who has quite a bit of pep and is spooky and frankly often an idiot. I am a confident rider, but my friends worried about me taking this little loon on our 3 day riding adventure last weekend. Kudos to both of us - together we encountered: - a bear - elk - flushed a bunch of pheasants who flew up in a most alarming manner - many close encounters with mule deer - save a golden retriever who "messed" with the wrong does. Woke up just now (midnight) and have to go to the bathroom. I stop outside the bathroom door and I hear a strange sound. The bathroom window is open and it faces our backyard which backs into woods. Now for something completely different. The Swedish Tourism office is running a campaign right now that is very cool. If you call the Swedish Number (011-46-771-793-336), you will be randomly connected to a Swedish person who has volunteered to take calls. It is in effect for a couple of more weeks. I just called it and had a really nice chat with a Swedish woman. I needed a little cheering up today and this looked like it would fit the bill. It sure did!

The short version is I spent a long night in the E.R. with chest pain, dizziness, clamminess, nausea. Turns out to be inflammation of the cartilage that attaches your ribs to your sternum and spine. Painful, scary, but not dangerous. No cardiac involvement at all. While I was there, I thought of you all. I was about to tell someone that if something happened, they had to come here and tell my peeps. Cuz y'all are my peeps. Just so you know.

Okay so I might be getting a place of my own this week. Since 2009 I've dreamed of moving to this particular place. I've had insomnia for about two months now. No matter what time I go to bed, I wake up at around 1 am and again around 4 am. Sometimes I can get back to sleep within a half hour, sometimes not. I've done a lot of soul-searching to try to figure out what has been stressing me. I have an appointment with a therapist on Monday to figure this out, but in the meantime, I think I've got it. Last week I came out to my 72 year old mother (who lives with me), as being poly. I told her that the one guy I'm dating is married (his wife pretty much set up our first date), and the other one I'm interested in, has a live-in girlfriend of a number of years. I'm giving special thanks that I have a sleeve. I think without it, I would have put on ten pounds these last two months. First, I had a litter of pups with a mother that didn't have enough milk, and thought simulating pups to pee and poop was not her job. Lots of lost sleep, lots of work. That was the easy part. A good friend called me five weeks ago from an ambulance on the way to the hospital, asking me to go get her dogs from her house. Then she dropped out of sight. I had to start calling hospitals the next day to find her, only to find it that she was in ICU on a ventilator. I know it's been a while since I've been active on these forums but I have been depressed lately and didn't really realize it until yesterday when I had a break down. Gardening was one of my favorite things to do. Needless to say, over the last 8 years I've really let things go. Last fall, we ripped out all the bushes in front of our house. I wanted a porch, but the design of our house doesn't lend itself to one. So I had my hubby build me one! This spring, with a blank canvas, I resumed my favorite pastime! Here are a few pics of one area. Mind you, i turned the earth, weeded it all, prepped the soil, lugged compost and mulch, dug every hole and planted all new! And yes, I'm extremely proud of it and excited to watch it grow! Next year new sod!!!! (Neighbors creeping ivy is unstoppable!)
