Hello all, I’m William and I had RNY Gastric Bypass on April 5, 2012. Since then I’ve lost 186 lbs and went from a 56 waist to a 34 waist.

  3. Ok, I understand if you laugh. LOL. I'm the old fart who's just learned about the wonders of The YouTube. LOL. And after many years away -- during which time FB moved on and broke up with me and changed...I'm now trying to get into the Bariatric Pal Group and I'm completely bamboozled! If anyone can or wants to help, I'd appreciate it! I joined the group--answered the 3 magic questions and joined. I got my email confirmation and clicked on the helpful "Visit Group" link in the email. And this is what I see. The group is not showing up in my Groups area. And the posts from the groups are not showing up in my personal feed. What on earth am I doing…

First of all, I tried to post this in the Powder Room, but I got an error message. I'm not shy, so I really don't care who responds. I used search and didn't really find an answer. After RNY, I've heard there can be bowel issues. Would any of these issues cause problems for anal sex? I'm not worried so much about just the act, but I'm wondering if things there get volatile so that if he comes there, would it trigger an issue? This is not something we do regularly, but once in a while it's a nice way to spice things up. I'm hoping my new plumbing won't take that away.

OK, I am watching MI-2 -- Tom Cruise is 2 years older than me or my husband but he NEVER AGES! What is up with this -- seriously!!! This movie was made 18 years ago, when we were 36-38 YOs. Last week we watched Made in America and TC looked YOUNGER than in the more recent movie. Damn, I want to be a movie star!!

  6. I honestly entertain myself Today, in the car, I was putting makeup on before going inside this building. And ladies, you know how you'll put concealer under your eyes or on diff areas of your face to "sit" , and dry before blending. Maybe 5 min or 10, whatever. Right? Anyways, so I was doing that. Finished doing other areas of my face and realized, I was going to be late. Got out of my car and went inside. Several different guys were looking deeply into my eyes, as I passed by them in their seats. I thought "Hmm. Wonder why are they looking at me so intently. I'm not even made up really cute today.Strange" Then I thought to myself: Jo, duh, it's your per…

Has anyone ever left their surgeon post-op because they were extremely rude? I left mine after I went in with pain. My pain was completely dismissed and because I had gained 20 lbs back after 4 years, he screamed at me for messing up his surgery. Then he stormed out of the room and told me not to come back until I had lost that weight. Completely non professional and a jerk. 9 yrs. out

  8. For all of you who live or travel through Selfieville, can you answer a question, por favor? What is it with fish lips? Why does it seem like most women pose with fish lips? Is it an unspoken rule of Selfieville that 80% of any selfie taken while in Selfieville must contain at least one person with a sultry, come-hither glance and fish lips? Or are they a condition that just naturally occurs when you hit the Selfieville county line? TIA and can't wait to hear!!! ****** This post humbly sponsored by Marvin Gaye: Let's Get It On Sexual Healing

It was an encouraging thing to hear a message from my paster about his own personal weight and gluttony struggles. The message centered around 'do you want to be made whole' the example of many given when we go to the ER or hospital outside there are those with an IV pole, smoking with an oxygen mask. The obvious is they want healing but not wholeness. He was convicted by God about his weight when various health issues came crashing down on him. He elected to have a gastric bypass done a year ago. None but a few in the congregation knew. As Jesus said to the man at the pool, 'do you want to be made whole' who'd been sitting there for 38 years. He took up his mat…

So, I've read posts where people said they had sex at a couple days post op. One post I read said they did it while patient was still in the hospital. I have a very healthy (or maybe even so high it's unhealthy) sexual appetite. I could go at it all day most every day. Today is day 4 post op, and while the idea of certain favors does greatly appeal to me in my head, my body would disagree. And I have had a pretty good recovery. Nearly no pain at all. Zero pain meds since the day after surgery. But intercourse??? No way! Now, I could give him pleasure, but that's about it. So, I'm calling bs. I'd say "Pics or it didn't happen," but I don't think that's allowed.…

It's been 18 years since I've been in this "game" and am getting discouraged. Wanting to meet for things like walking/hiking, meet for coffee, maybe go to movies, etc. Here's my dilemma. What's with this sexting crap? I mean if I were in a committed relationship and we wanted to flirt with some pictures maybe that's one thing. 17. I find a lot of names on here interesting and I'm sure there are good stories behind how everyone chose them. Anyone like to share? For me, Kindle is my horse's name and she was the "straw that broke the camel's back" in my decision to have VSG. I feel bad for her, having to lug my fat ass around the mountains and would love to be able to hop on her without having to find a rock or log to climb up on. (there's a dozen other reasons behind my decision, but my profile name is my tribute to her and how much more fun we will have next summer!)

So many of the threads in here are replete with seriousness... Where's the humor? The therapeutic, easing, making-this-heavy-****-easier-to-handle, humor? Where's it at?! Certainly not a central theme in these threads, as far as I've seen in my short time perusing them. I'd appreciate more. Maybe not everyone would. I would. Going through a bout of head hunger? So I have this guy friend who I'm kinda into... I have this notion in my head that after I finish my journey he may decide I'm worth dating at that point. And all though I'm really fond of him and love our conversations, and think he's amazing... but I don't think I would be into dating him after this. I'm probably living in a fantasy world but I'm wondering if any of you had dealt with this and how you handled it. Did you end up together and you're currently living happily ever after or did you tell them to eff off because they were shallow when you were bigger? I do know for sure I'm not interested in anything serious until after my surgery.
